Visiting in June for the first time since 2019 and we're expecting things to have changed and to be more expensive. I'm aware that the Little Prince has changed hands and there's a new place opposite Olympia but that's about the limit of my knowledge. What am I missing? Any pointers much appreciated.

We too last visited 2019, so will be very interested to hear what we have missed.

Apparently, they have retired from the restaurant side of the business, Mike will be around to welcome guests to the apartments etc, was the latest story not so long ago.

Little Prince apartments still being ran by the family, but they posted on Facebook that the taverna, cocktail bar and pool bar is being rented out. Aris and Maria and Co from Barolo are taking over the running of those.

A few changes since 2019 Tredegar Boy, as you suspect prices have increased quite a bit since then, with rises particularly in 2022 and 2023. However it’s still much better value than a lot of other resorts in Europe.
Cicala is the new restaurant opposite Olympia.
Beachcomber is now Sandhills (ran by the hideaway bar team so hideaway is no longer)
New restaurant last year next to Silver Star (old 2 stars) called Spetseriko
New coffee and desert place Sweet Spot opened last year in a new building behind Barras.
There are probably some other changes I’ve forgotten, but a lot of familiar faces at the same tavernas too.

Thanks BAJ

Gosh haven’t been on the forum for ages as my link didn’t seem to work the same so couldn’t see current comments. !
Didn’t know about Little Prince restaurant etc changing hands but last year when we were there, Pappina did say she wanted to sell up asap. They were investing in a new build across the road where the car park used to be. She said it was going to be a boutique hotel open within 2 years !
We are staying at LP for 4 weeks this year from 13th June. Times they are a changing!
Look forward to hearing from anyone going before then.

There is a new cake and coffee shop round the corner from Barras.
Athens Bar is now called Atena and Nicos has retired from the business. Food is also now served there.
The old bar on the beach with steps up is now opened up again and called 180 and is run by Mike and family from Little Prince.

Also Teresas have built some villas on the way to Glen's bar and Athina also have some new apartments

Has anyone tried Sandhills, the replacement for the Beachcomber?
-
We walked past most nights, and it was certainly busy most of them. Met folks who raved about the service and food, will give it a turn next visit in September.
-
Yes been to Sandhills a few times since it opened and really enjoyed it. Food and cocktails were excellent with of course a beautiful setting for the sun set. We will definitely be going back again when we are there this month.

We had lunch and then dinner twice at Sandhills last year having only had cocktails there the previous year. Excellent quality and service can highly recommend it.

Great to hear about all the changes and get reports on the new season. I must have been sleeping as the tables are out at the Kamini - must be summer!
