There are three separate sources of free Public WiFi access.
The Main one is via an ariel from a resident halfway up the hill overlooking Arillas, who beams it into town.
Depending where you are, this will determine your access, so check for wireless networks and log on.
As Zoe say's two good locations, also opposite the Condor, and in Aquarios when sitting at a table nearer to the Athina Hotel.
The Condor supplies a strong WiFi signal, when inside the Condor.
There are also private networks, who will let you log on, Bar38 has done this for a couple of years now,
but you have to ask for a key, they don't charge if you buy drinks.
San Stefanos Travel has a private network for a fee.
The WWW Bar has WiFi and a few others that you need to do a search for first.
There are some dead spots in the village and you won't get any signal.
I heard that Teresa's may be doing WiFi as well. Delfino has a private network.

Tough one!!
Unlikely - - as it gives you broadband - - -

Good question though!!

Lets have this one followed up!!

best thing we ever got was the net book we walked up to teresas on the day we left to see if we could get any info on flight times and it worked outside so for anyone staying there it would be great

Jules - it seems it should work - check with Orange as they have "Partners" in Greece/Corfu.
The downside - Huge Bills!!
I have copied over some research I found.

EU. Mobile broadband customers across Europe are to be protected from 'bill shocks' when surfing the internet in other countries, it has been announced.

From the start of this month, new European Union (EU) rules mean mobile network operators must offer consumers a cut-off limit facility which will stop them from running up large bills while abroad.

The mechanism will function by giving people a warning before disconnecting their mobile connection when the bill reaches a certain limit.

Consumers will be given the chance to choose their limit up until July 1st, although those who do not will see a default of €50 (£45) introduced.

Neelie Kroes, the EU's Digital Agenda Commissioner, said: "Protection against data roaming bill shocks is a useful step towards building customers' confidence to use mobile networks to surf the Internet when travelling around Europe.

"Such confidence is essential if people and businesses are to use the internet to its full potential."

Orange recently announced the launch of a new data roaming bundle offering 2MB for €2.
