Title: New rules for bars
Post by: chrissie d on July 17, 2021, 04:56:42 PM: Just been reading in the Greek press about the new rules announced yesterday that say only the vaccinated or have recovered from COVID are allowed in outdoor bars ! Our teenage daughter is coming is coming with us and not been vaccinated yet .

Thanks Jim, I'm wondering if the outdoor article, related to larger outdoor venues...

I asked the question regarding toilet facilities which are normally indoors, as had visions of 'peeing in the streets or al fresco' !!!! Using indoors facilities such as toilets - you wear your mask which is what we have all being doing anyway, vaxed or non vaxed. Bars can check Greek persons by an app on a smart phone, which scans the QR code and if fully vaxed it comes up Green with a tick and your name. I read that the UK NHS is not at present compatible - I am sure there is a way around this. No doubt as this all started on 16/07 until the end of August almost everyone will be eating and drinking outside anyway as with temps even nightime are around mid 30's. I wouldn't concern yourselves with this as no doubt over the next week there will be updates from the Greek government.

Post by: Lesley on July 18, 2021, 11:21:44 AM: In fairness nothing much has changed as indoor areas were not open as such anyway, it is the introduction now of vaxed only can sit inside if they choose. Lots of protests during the week as many feel this is segregation and against Human Rights. I for one will not be sitting inside as its too hot, the inside things I will be doing is working behind the reception, going to the supermarket and going home to sleep......
