Bevmandy, they are quite lightweight any way - I usually take mine back each year with refills.
We use the liquid ones which save you putting tablets in daily.
I always use two in a studio apartment room and we never get bitten at night!!
They are definitely much more expensive in the resort these days, but all supermarkets, sell the full range and refills!

GOOD TIP.
Find an old disposed of phone card or take something similar with you.
Cut it to the same shape or size as the one by the door that turns on your electricity, (if fitted obviously).
When you go out at night - plug in the home-made plastic card and your electricity will stay on all evening,
thereby powering your Mozzie killer plug-in!! (also good for recharging your camera / phone batteries etc.).
when you return, no mozzies flying around!!
Remove in the morning so the maid does'nt spot it, (as they like to save on electricity while you are out), repeat daily!!

Didya see the paper reports recently that anything with DEET in it(Jungle?) should be avoided as it causes cancer???

To read all these reports everything gives you cancer. Then again some reports say eating 5 fruit and veg a day protect from cancer. Does one outweigh the other! Then again stay out of the sun! Not saying all these experts are wrong as I am only expert in my own field but if you worried over every report you'd worry yourself into an early grave!

Regards Tony's last post........... Phone Cards..... Try the phone kiosk outside Sophias Gift Shop.... Always a good supply of used phone cards there! ............Any Scots comments will be treated in the way I deem fitting!!!

I bet you check them all Don to see if any minutes left on the cards lol!!!!!!
Good tip from Tony though, although in Teresa the electricity is not worked that way but just simply by switching on or off. ::)

Jules you got it right!! LOL
PS. Can you confirm that "LOL" means Laugh out loud -
only Linda thinks I am saying ''Lots of Love'' to Don every 5 minutes!! LOL!!!
She used to write it on the back of envelopes!! I said this is 2009 and things have changed!!

We bought plug-ins from the supermarket at the bottom of the hill (not Kathys) reasonably cheap, and I think a box of 8 or 10 slip in's were about 1.40 euro

Definitely, -  and also in most places now days!! In some rooms a standard phone card will slip straight in
in some - you have to cut out two thin slots, in the Theodosia I had to cut a small bit off the side of the card!
take a small pair of scissors in your main case!

We were given some Mosi Guard spray by a kind person who was going home, he said it was Deet, but no where on the bottle could I see any mention of Deet, anyway, it was good stuff and kept the mozzies at bay, I used it on my legs, when I went out at night....it worked! it doesn't smell too good, but the mozzies were that bad I didn't care! when it ran out we went and bought some more ASAP it cost about €8, but I feel that was a small price to pay to be free of mozzie bites
