Hi Louise like Loftyscot  says the main water park (Aqualand) is the one to go for. We've been there 3 times now with San Stefanos travel. Be warned though the coach back leaves bang on time (delay at the photo counter caused a few skipped beats!) from the park so is worth being on it a little bit earlier than the time you are given for leaving. There are showers for use and lockers at a small cost (I can't recall what price) . There are childrens pools and water play/splash areas and small  slides and with small flumes and shutes. The big Flumes and shutes I would say your little one needs to not be afraid of water and have reasonable swim ability as they are quite fast coming off the ends and into a good depth of water- have a look before you go on together- There is a wave pool but it was always really busy so we didn't use it. There is a lazy river which is nice. We usually went end May beginning of June so one busy week (half term) one quiet. There are food outlets - a bit mad but food was edible and for a captive audience reasonable price but be prepared to pay more than in resort. There are roaming  photographers taking pictures which you can view and buy near the exit (if you have seen them take a photo and want then worth doing well before you leave!). The second time we took water proof camera they were good when we were in the childrens area but not for pictures coming off /down the flumes. There are sun beds and brollies scattered around the park but even in May June they were quite well used. I think that's all phew ! :D

My mum and dad stayed in the Thomson ones and they were fine. They had had a look in Silver Moon (just being finished when they stayed) and said they were lovely. Pool is great and the owner really friendly, central for everything really. Very close for a gentle stroll down the beach, supermarket and bakery.

Hilary and Lesley thanks for the update on Noula's trip .I haven't seen it on the site so wasn't sure if it was happening this year.Good to know they do beginners and spectators  :). Teambunny we are in Brize Norton near Oxford. I am not sure about pagi centres occasionally the local pool has done a session or two but not frequently that I know of.

Thanks Teambunny  :) . I thought I had seen one on Noula's page before but it isn't there yet, I 'll keep a look out.  But I think I may also try your suggestion and try them with a snorkel in the old harbour first ...just in case !

Hi all, I wonder if you can help? My 2 teenagers (13 and 15)  fancy scuba diving or snorkelling as a trip out this year. I am not the strongest or most confident of swimmers whereas they are and are quite 'up' for this. Is there anywhere locally that offers this ? Many thanks.

Hi Rod, They had them in the rooms last time we were there. There was a small additional cost - about the same as renting one in the village  :)

It is really sad to see the beach isn't being cleared yet. We have stayed May half term/June before and they were backwards and forwards clearing seaweed during our stay and after breezier days . Never seen the heaps that are there this year and if I did not know how beautiful the beach  can be and how friendly the resort is it would put me off when looking at the webcam. Feel sorry for the beach taverna's loosing there glorious sunset views. Should say if you have to avoid the beach we found most pools in the village will be happy to have you as long as you buy drinks and a snack /icecreams from their bar area. I think there is only one that charges -please correct me if I am wrong- and they are on the beach so I think that's justified...

Hi , new on here but not to San Stephanos  :). I have used the site to get updates, everyone seems so friendly so I plucked up the courage to join in. This year will be our 4th visit and we (me, hubby, daughter 15 and son 13) can't wait to return. Manage to make it back every couple of years since the children were small. Have stayed at the Tsaros . Lovely, friendly  spacious apartment with fantastic view over the bay and lemon trees outside the back balcony-bliss. The hill is steep just take your time, you get used to it and can always drop in for a dip in the pool and a restorative  if needed. Other times we stayed at the Rose Gardens and that's where we are this year. Will be our third visit there.
