Hi Buttons 1 .I have never been to Paleo but if you google 'Arianna Apartments. Paleocastritsa'.It should come up  on bookings .com. If you click on the name of the apartment then on the view map. Scroll in on the highlighted pin icon on the map and go to satellite and it shows on the road just up from the main beach. Don't know if thats any help...

Lovely to have another update on village life Hippopots  :) . Our holidays seem so far away (end of July) keep popping on the life webcam for a beach inject! Hippopots , I did see 3 brave souls trying to fly a kite on the beach webcam today but they were only there for 10 minutes...it looked pretty stormy- the beach that had reappeared was almost covered in water again. In Oxfordshire today we have had wind, rain, snow, sleet and very, very briefly the sun :-\

Popping on here in the evening to look at the webcam and seeing the storms that have been hitting Sansteph has been quite scary, It must be awful for those living in the village. To see the beach disappear and storm debris past the blue box  omg! I agree Arillas has had it bad . Yesterday at times you could not see the stone boat jetty . Hope everyone stays safe x

« on: August 19, 2014, 01:54:06 AM »
We too were quite shocked this year at the behaviour of a couple of families who dominated the pool area of our apartments. Younger ones shreaking, shouting, screaming,  teenagers ducking and bombing each other and fighting in the water-got to the point where we went back to our room on a couple of occassions as I did not wish to see or have to attend to the injuries! You could not safely swim for several hours of the day. Sunbeds were routinely covered in towels by 9.00 latest and several even saved for friends who rolled up hours later ...felt like we had got off the bus in the wrong place not the San Steph I remembered. The days when the pool (which is sold on quiet and relaxing) area was quiet were bliss. Having said that we will come back next year with our fingers crossed  :)

Oh I think we went there with the children a few years back but then the last 2 times we were in the village it seemed all close up. Must try Sunset again as what we had was lovely and really nice sitting out area . Only a few more sleeps now . Can't wait !  :)

Gillybean, I was stressing a bit about this to and concerned about our bags getting there but, I think I will do as always and pack outfits for each person across our 4 bags and if something goes astray its still annoying but we still have something to wear. I think its my work job that makes me make 'safety' lists so I write what's in each case and keep it separate , with me packing for all of us I can never remember ! I also put flip flops, a cossie, vest top, skirt in my carry on handbag in case of total disaster. We saw someone at Corfu airport loose 2 out of their 3 cases and the person filling the lost luggage claim wanted to know what was in the cases. Poor people, I felt so sorry for them. Never knew whether they got them back but boy were they stressed :S

Also loving the new beach brollies that looked to be going up this evening. Are they the lovely rush ones that rustle in the breeze? :)

Louise I'll be the 5 ft 2ish one with 2 teenagers leaning on my shoulders. We have a gap of a two sometimes three of years between each of our visits so when we first visited my boy would have been your daughters age  :) and my daughter about 7. Time flies by .
