Title: San Stef vs Spain
Post by: bikersuze on October 29, 2017, 12:20:29 AM
Hello,

We have been coming to San Stef for  ten years and love love love it!  We fancy a change but have no idea where to start looking for somewhere that can live up to it.
Can anyone recommend anywhere in mainland Spain which would come anywhere near emulating San Stef?
Many thanks xx

We haven't been to Spain for a number of years now and absolutely love San Stef.  However we have visited a lot of other Greek islands and I think as long as you do a bit of research there are lots of lovely resorts.  We have just returned from Alykes in Zante as we needed a break in October and couldn't get fixed up in San Stef.  Sorry can't help with Spain though

Surprisingly I think theres a lot of good alternatives on the Balearics.  Ibiza for one - choose your spot wisely - Portinatx is wonderful and stay at a family owned hotel - perfect example is La Cigenya - superb.  Also on Majorca - it is different from Greece - slicker if you like but look for the traditional places and enjoy Spain too

I agree Debra, always say Ibiza is like Corfu but with tarmac. People not quite as friendly, needs a few Greek Tavernas too! Funnily enough when we went to Portinaxt  we stayed at The El Greco!
