The fight is over.  It ended in complete farce.  Every time the bell went for the next round, the referee YIANNIS would place a towel on the vacated stool in the corners.  Smokin Joe Jimbo blatantly lit a cigarette at the end of every round and his two corner men, lilly and debra had the biggest cigars alight the whole time.  Somehow a picket fence was erected and kernowfox sat on it at every opportunity.  Gavlah and loftyscot constantly bombarded Winj and Jimbo with what looked like minature pots of jam.  Andy, Rover and Sellsy are demanding a rematch.

Who won?  Who cares?  Night night boxing fans.   ;)

The referee Caz has no control whatsover and has clearly had enough.  Caz has left the ring.  The replacement referee is making his way to the ring and by his demeanor it looks like he will sort things.  The crowd/forum gasps as they realise the identity of the replacement referee.  YIANNIS.  He has obviously come out of retirement.  This should be a good clean fight now.  My god!  Whatever is YIANNIS doing with all those towels?  Oh no!

It's the the end of the fourth round and Winj is yelling at her trainer Sellsy.  Sellsy's right hand man Rover is pleading with Winj to keep calm.  "We can still win this" he tells Winj.  Jimbo has been "showboating" and it has not gone down too well with Winj's supporters.  Come on!   ;D

The referee Caz has had a word with both fighters to try and keep the fight fair.  However, it looks like both competitors are going to go full on.  This could get ugly.

Jimbo wins the first round rather easily and his trainer lilly is whispering encouragement in his ear.  The towel man/woman debra is looking rather smug.

Jimbo moving around the ring effortlessly, using his left jab to maximum effect.

Where to stay / Rose Garden
« on: September 02, 2013, 09:41:07 PM »

Hi everyone.  The wife and I returned form the Algarve last thursday and one of the first things I did was book the Rose Garden for next June.  All I did was moan in the (lovely) resort of Lagos.  I compared EVERYTHING to San Stef, until towards the end of our holiday even I was getting sick of my whinging.

Dont get me wrong, the resort was nice as was the hotel but it just wasn't errrrrr well San Stef really.  The traffic alone outside our hotel left me gob smacked.  Traffic I ask you!  And the resort was absolutely jumping.  Every restaurant was more or less full.  There were people all over the place, some walking towards you others away from you, some people even traversing across you.  What's that all about?  A lot of tourists AND locals were queuing outside their favourite restaurant!  Can you believe that?  Well the wife was just telling me to shut up all the time.  I was like Victor Meldrew.  "You dont see that in San Stef", "not as good as San Stef though".  You get the picture.

Well no more I tell you (and the wife).  San Stef, I apologise for being unfaithful.  It was only the once, please forgive me.  Rose Garden here I come (for some peace and quiet hopefully).   :)

just read an article in the newspaper that says that the looking forward to and planning a holiday is psychologically better for us than the actual holiday!!

The wife and I are going to Lagos in the Algarve next week and I just can't get "up for it" as I usually do with San Stefanos.  I can't really explain it.  We have been to this resort many years ago and it is lovely but I'm not getting that buzz that I do with my Greek islands.   ???

The word on the street is that yes they are all broken.  Whether they were damaged intentionally or by the weather is up to debate.

Bet they get more than one bog roll at the Romanza

I can confirm that the Romanza Hotel had plenty of bog roll supplies.   ;)
