We've got 1.20 last weekend  and on Tuesday and it was down to 1.19 today. Still good though. It worked out at £201.26 for E240. This is at the pawnbrokers.

We went for Whitsun week last year. It was quite windy during the day but we did swim in the pool at Teresa's most days and didn't find it cold, also sat out in the sun and it was fine out of the wind. We did find it chilly in the evenings and ate indoors at Ozzie Oils and under shelter at other places but still needed a carddie. We would go again at this time.

Another vote from us for the Night Owl in Afionas if you want somewhere different and have transport. in San Stef I think most of the tavernas are good it depends what you are in the mood for. We like Manthos for 'things on the spit', Yiannis Grill room, Waves (mainly at lunchtime) Little Prince for cheap and cheerful. I think people just have to try them all and decide.

We also enjoyed the 3 W's Sunday act. Easy listening music different from the usual tribute acts. Well worth a visit.

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Re: Waves?

We really like waves but tend to eat lunch there rather than in the evening, no particular reason its just nice and easy when we're on the beach.

We asked for a sea view room in June and they gave us one without any problems. We've asked again for next week and they've said they'll do their best. It's sometimes difficult those as Thomsons only give them the bookings a short while before.

We're flying from Birmingham and I think also arrive at 11am or so. We're at Teresa's for two weeks. We're quite easy to spot as I'll probably have the only South African accent in San stef :D

HI Jacksi
We're also staying at Teresa's arriving next Monday so we'll see you there.
Some good budget options are the Greek night at Teresa's which is E10 for a two course meal and Greek dancing etc and the BBQ at Ozzie Oils on a Tues which I think is still E12 for a meal and Kerrie sings.
The food at Teresa's is also good and reasonably priced and you get a free half liter carafe of wine.

Where to stay / Re: Romanza Hotel

I've never seen that before in San Stef. Its one of the things that make it such a nice place. We stay at Terezas and have never had a problem getting a sunbed at any time.

Jules, they have redone the staircase from the road so its much better and there is a new young Hungarian girl working in the bar but apart from that its the same friendly place as ever.
We didn't get round to going to the new restaurant just down from the Condor but the menu looks nice and there were several people in there most nights.

San Stefanos news and views / Just returned
« on: June 01, 2013, 09:17:33 PM »
Hi all, we've just returned from a week at Teresa's. The weather wasn't the best we could have hoped for and we had two quite overcast days but still a lot warmer than the UK. We did find we needed jumpers and cardi's when eating out in the evening.
The prices seem to be all the same as last year, E2 for a glass of wine in most places, the specials were all still around E9 for three courses or E7 for a main and a glass of wine.
Most places seemed to be reasonably full and there were a few people in most eateries in the evening, Ozzies was very popular again as was the Little Prince and Yannis.

We go next Friday and to be honest the lack of sunbeds does bother us. we would spend some time on the beach and have no problem with paying the cost for four sunbeds. we're taking my in-laws who will struggle without. I might drop Cerys a line and see if they know anything, else although I know Thomsons aren't responsible I will ask them.
