Well said, something seems to have horribly wrong here. I have only ever posted as me deborahh is the only  name I have ever used. I have never set out to annoy or wind anyone up, just give my honest opinion, which I know differs from some posters. But before anyone judges me read my previous posts I don't think I have been negative or insulting. As I have previously said I do like SS, and although would not return regularly I am sure I will go back in the future.
If anyone doubts my intentions or posts on here feel free to pm me, as I obviously will not post personal info here.

I agree with both sides of the debate. If you have found somewhere that to you has that magic feel, why not keep returning. I just haven't found that place for me yet, but I am enjoying looking for it.

It's good that people of all opinions post here, it makes it more interesting. From Zimmers previous post of his review I agreed with him. I really liked SS and have been twice, but the 'magic' eluded me. I think it's a great Greek purpose built resort, with a beautiful beach and friendly locals. But I have found on my travels places that I prefer. I would go back if I was going to book a quick week away and wanted the safe option of a place I have been to before and know I will enjoy. Although next year my nephew (fingers crossed) may have the chance of a season working in a bar, so if that does come about I will definitely go back.
The thought of a new place to visit for the first time is more exciting to me than somewhere I have been to before. I have lots of places I keep thinking 'I'll book to go there again this year' but I always get drawn to somwhere I have not yet been to.

Don, you may have already found this, looks like you cannot do it on-line, but have to go through an external company, it's on their FAQ page.

Hi, Bubblehead & Kipper, I had heard how good Sam's daughter is, scary as she is so young, what'll she be like in a few years time!! We're in Paleo 4th -18th Sept, not been there before so wanted to see somewhere different, but will be coming over to SS to visit Dimitri and Andrea, will also hopefully get to Sidari to see to Muay Thai tournament.

Hi Bubblehead & Kipper, is the Thai boxing comp in Sidari?
We're in Paleokastrita but will try and get over to watch if possible.

Dimitri (Gladiator Bar) showed us some great videos last time we were there and Sam gave my brother Danny a Thai boxing lesson and blacked his eye ha ha!!!

Danny is coming over on friday to do some diving with Dimitri so you may see him

Where to stay / Re: Teresa 2 bed apartments
« on: July 26, 2009, 07:21:40 PM »
Hi Sunlover, we stayed in a 2 bed apt at Teresa last year. You get 2 same size large bedrooms with double beds & plenty of storage space, a kitchen area with table and chairs. I would not book them again as the terrace, is not a terrace it's just the walkway through and they get very little sun. We were on the end apt, no table and chairs are put there, so you would have to get some and take them up yourself. Also as they are at the back you have no view, the terrace looks onto the B&B block.

This was my second stay at the Teresa and I wish we had booked 2 studios,as they have more balcony space on one studio that we had on the apt. Also the studios are at the front and have the great view.

Great place to stay, lovely bar/pool area, close to the village and beach would not hesitate to return....but will book studios whatever the party size

Colin, my Dad was from Whitley Bay/Tynemouth area, had many a visit up there when young, is the Spanish City still there?
Last time I was in Newcastle didn't get a chance to go over there, though did see Shearer break Wor Jackies record at SJP.

Lovely part of the world, and Newcastle is on your doorstep a great place for shopping and eating out

Bobthebuilder, what a great idea! I am going to cancel my dogs kennel reservation now and book a vet appointment instead. Should save enough in kennel fees for another holiday next year.

Hi Sarah, that would have been Danny, Rock Pig is still on his travels, been taken by various people to Thailand, the Hatton fight in Vegas and New York.

Have booked 2 weeks in Paleokastritsa this year, but hope to get over to SS to visit for a couple of nights. So stocks of Mythos should be OK!! Just hoping the wasps won't be as bad this year as they were last Sept, and the weather of course. Though that storm was spectacular.

Hi Sarah, I'm sure we met you last Sept in SS, remember Rock Pig?

Re the Gay issue, it isn't an issue at all. We also met a gay couple in sept at Tereza, so assuming it was the same guys, also met a lesbian couple when we were there the previous may, neither couple had anything negative to say about their reception in bars, hotels or restaurants in the village

Zimmer, I have to agree re Skala Poamia, just got back from a week there (first visit) on Sunday, the beach further down at Golden Beach is beautiful, Skala Potamia village is brilliant, some lovely bars and taverna's, Karambusa was our favourite. Great place really laid back and friendly, and not too touristy, reminds me of Georgiopoulis in Crete.

No-one knows the full facts apart from the two parties involved. It's a shame WWH has closed but I don't know the real reasons and situation. As I said earlier I too found Dimitri to be great company and a decent bloke socially. So to see him desribed (on the WWH site) as evil, was laughable. Hitler, Myra Hindley & Ian Brady were evil, putting the rent up on land/property you own is not evil, might be unethical or wrong, but as I said I do not know the facts.
I would say why not give the guy the benfit of the doubt, go in for a Mythos, have a chat and make your own mind up.

TheMasterD, are you the one that went with Dimitri and Sam (from Aspro Supermarket) to the Thai boxing club they run in SS? If you are I think we met in the Gladiator bar, your were with your Son. I am sure I remember the nickname! We were in SS in Sept 12th for 2 weeks Deborah Paul Lisa and Connor.
