Hi
I want to take my husband to San Stef and was just wondering where to stay. Self catering apartment or room would be good. Fairly central and well equipped. Microwave would be good and air con and pool essential !!
Oh and somewhere that doesn't cost the earth. Don't want much do I ?
Thanks guys

Lots of places to consider Gaynor and everyone has there own personal favourites. Ours is Teresa which is now B&B or half board but without any cooking facilities. On the banner above you will see a Where to Stay box if you look on there and maybe ask questions about any that may take your fancy.
Of course a lot depends on whether you want hills or accommodation on the flat as well.

Thanks Jules, will have a look now.

Gaynor.....
Tsaros...... sc available etc although up a steep but short hill
Are you planning on cooking?
-
Noooo, not cooking. But maybe occasionally knocking up some lunch. Think my hubby is tired of me going on about how amazing SS is, I went with my sister 2 years ago and am back this year. And although we stay at Thomas Bay and love it, he prefers self catering.
-
Right. ....... Romanza is BB although the hill can be a killer. Very little cooking facilities if any
Tsaros...... up behind the juice bar, steep hill but only short. Great cooking facilities
Perros..... great place, staying next year..... cooking available in rooms
Cmon all....... help Gaynor out

Thankyou, that's a good start !!

Gaynor, We stayed in Nondas last week I just put a review on a few days ago. 250 euros per week for an apartment including transfers from airport and back. Great value and peaceful location with a pool. Micro, toaster, kettle and fridge. . We also stayed at the Olga which is at the other end, with kitchen facilities, it was fine, basic and clean with a pool, only up a little hill. The Teresas was lovely, fantastic views but B&B or half board and only with a fridge and kettle no microwave. My favourite accommodation was Fedra Mare which is very nice, we went in May which wasn't to expensive not sure what the prices are like in summer and it gets booked up quickly. They all have air conditioning.

Another thing to consider is if you want to book independent or through a tour operator
Have a look on San Stef Travels website as well.

We stayed at the Vicky 2 years ago and really enjoyed it. The views are great and the swimming pool never gets too busy.
-
Fedra Mare top notch with wonderful views and amazing hosts

If not having microwave is not a serious issue, Little Prince's rooms are very big and airy. They also have safes. This year they have new shower cubicles in the studios. Very posh!
-
Microwave not a big issue at all, don't even know why I mentioned it really, cracking up. !!
Had a meal in Little Prince and loved it last time we were there, so will also bear that in mind. I suppose what I want really is lovely accommodation at a bargain price, that's not too far out of the way.
Don't want much do I ?
-
next years prices in fedra Mare include breakfast (9am to 11am) - order what you want from the menu - delicious!
-
Would agree with Jimbo about the Little Prince. Rooms are excellent - some of the best self catering accommodation we've stayed in in Greece.
Believe there is a very good description in the new Thomson brochure.

Really spoilt for choice X

We are staying in Margaritas Suites this time - has everything - but so do most of the properties from San Stefanos Travel
Go to their website and check out the properties, and so many others as well - including Barras etc...

My son is just back from Nondas at 250 euros including airport transfers terrific value he says he will go back. Nice pool friendly folks

Thanks everybody, great advice as usual X
