Might do, but you'll probably have to pay commission. Most competitive in UK is Travelex online or Post Office online. M&S quite competitive as well. Don't use travelex at the airport though.
However, at mo and over next few weeks i wouldn't expect much difference in exchange rate, there's nothing on the 'economic' horizon to suggest much difference from 1.12/1.13 to the £.

Nowhere near that up the "Grim North" so if you are going in September get me mine and Sandra will see to the financial side. Chrisno2 will get the drinks, Zoe will bring the cider and the party can begin!

Mr Camelot last night ? Like my ****!!

Hi Streety. Welcome to the forums. Are you sure they offered €1.48. Seems a bit out of context with the actual going rates being at about €1.14 / €1.15.

Terminal 5 Heathrow, I'll have to check which money exchange Co.,
was doing it as my wife works in the Airport and keeps a check on it.
They may charge commission, (not sure), but she gets it commission free as an airport staff perk whenever we fly.
€1.176 yesterday. It looks like it is slowly rising again!!
I notice that San Stef rates are usually slightly better than UK.

Regarding Currency............. Is this the Current data?............ Or do we plug in?.................. Wireless doesn't work I take it?
Title: Re: Currency
Post by: tonyco1 on August 11, 2009, 10:31:23 AM
Believe me - - -I have to listen to the update every time she visits the terminals!
"guess what the exchange rate is today in T1 and in T4 it's and in T5 it's . . . . - - - are you listening?" - - "yes dear"!!

Now! if she'd said  - - "you should'ave seen what this girl was wearing - or not wearing in the terminal today - Etc"
She would have had my full attention and it would have been - - - -
"well did you take a picture on your phone"? -
"don't be silly" etc!! but at least I would have been more interested!!

Strangely, there are small differences between the exchanges in diferent terminals as well - work that one out!!
You would think that they would all be the same!!

We have always found it's slightly better there!
But we are talking pennies these days realistically, with the pound the way it is!!
Take some Euros - take English and change the bulk there is my advice!!
