My goodness what a thread that was!! I think my policy when on holiday is live and let live! I'm a non-smoker but would imagine it's wonderful to go on holiday and have the luxury of smoking in places you're not allowed over here. After all holidays are all about doing things you can't do back home, eg. Drinking cocktails before noon!! One of my favourite things to do!!

Not sure if this will work but if it does this was taken from Waves - you can just about make out mine and my daughter's pink and yellow lilos!

It's so funny how everyone's opinion differs so much! Olympia was one of my least favourites!

Best restaurants in 2012 for me were:
1) Little Prince
2) Zorbas
3) Had a lovely lunch on a really windy day round in the older part of town but can't remember what it was called...Manthos maybe?? Delicious Chicken Souvlaki washed down with some Mythos, mmm mmm mmmmmmmm!!
My mouth is actually watering at the thought of it all!! Can't wait to get to Greece in August, not San Stef but still Greece

Hiya,
Has anyone ever done Gatwick to Athens with Easyjet in August?? And if so, what was the cheapest price you found throughout the year? I'm starting to think about next summer (already!!) and thought I'd watch easyjet prices this year so I know when is best to book. At the moment they're £554 with two bags for me and my daughter but I've no idea if this is high or low!
I'm looking to go to one of the smaller Cyclades islands (Amorgos being the current favourite) so if anyone has got a better way of getting there other than flying to Athens first then a ferry, I'd be grateful for any info!

I found the Thomson Facebook page very good to complain on, they're very quick to respond! I imagine you have to "like" the page to do so though which could be painful considering your experience!!

Yeah I'm halfway through "The Island" and I'm desperate to visit Spinalonga! Hoping to book Kokkini Hani and hire a car to drive to Plaka. Never thought about Crete before reading this book! Only halfway through so no spoilers if anyone's already read it!!

Thanks Tony and Lesley but not going to Corfu this year, I was planning on Kos but changed my mind, now thinking of Crete!
