Sorry if it's already been mentioned but does anyone know if Beer o Clock is open this year. Best curry on Corfu. Lovely owners and staff are great.

Hi Rod,
If it is open l will see you there in September.
I agree with your food comments.
-
Pretty sure it closed down for good last season.
-
Thats a shame

I wonder why? It always seemed full when we walked past especially post food times.
-
Increase in rent was an issue apparently.
-
Correct, they only did a very short season at it was.

Some landlords amaze me. What's the better outcome, some rent or no rent.

Exactly this. Especially during these difficult financial times. What a waste!
-
Same happening in Spain with British Bar onwers - the Spanish have called it Lock and Run as Spanish Landords pressing for rent and British locking down there business and then returning to UK owing thousands of euros - difficult for both sides I suppose ........
-
Such a shame isn't it, there are no winners in this situation.
-
Be strange around that area now, Nafsika closed, Hippopots closed and Beer o Clock closed, sad times.
-
I'm sure the Nafsika will open again, and there has been many an incarnation of some of the places around that area. I'll add to this the pinned post of the "photo of the day" here (http://www.sanstefanos.co.uk/smf/index.php/topic,2853.0.html) , great pics and some show just how much the place changes.

Yes will be quiet down that end of the village, Nafsika is where we eat most nights, it's good to have a walk from there after dinner.
-
and Beachcomber's, Mistral, Manthos, Fantasea and Kamini Bar.......all open......
-
Sad about the places that are not open but thank you to all the places that are open and by the sounds of it there is a lot. Looking forward to trying some new places we haven’t eaten before. X

I thought "photo of the day" was a great innovation, pity it died a death.

Yes Aline used to post them but she doesn't come on here now.
