Information and help please / Re: Steep Hills

I stayed just above the Teresa at Kapitanios and only once did the "Hill" nearly kill me  :o but I was rushing back to try and catch the end of the Newcastle v West Brom game  :D other than that I found the walk quite pleasant, I wouldn't fancy the Romanza tho!  :o :o

I`ve just come back from the Romanza and only really struggled when I carried six bottles of water up.

Where to stay / Re: Romanza

our 2nd week was busier as the schoolchildren were on holidays then-although more teachers than children !!!late september should be quiet.the Romanza barbeque night is worth going to.we ate there most lunchtimes and the food was very good.breakfast is very basic but you can get full english for 2.50,bacon,sausage egg 2.0,beans on toast 1.50 etc.Andreas and his mother Kate are very friendly. The one downside of our holiday was the mosquitos.I had 2 repellents on and was still bitten around 50 times in 14 days.If you are going in september wasps might be a problem as the resort had lots of them too.It can be very tiring walking up the hill with 6 bottles of water so I`d go to the supermarket at the bottom of the hill on left ( Kates ?????)they deliver free.

Information and help please / prices
« on: June 28, 2009, 04:36:44 PM »
could anyone give me a rough idea of the prices in San Stefanos?
for example bottle of water,cup of tea,bottle of beer,sandwich/baguette,ice cream,beef stifado,lamb kleftiko,car hire,? etc.
we were on holiday in Agios Sostis, Zante, last year and found the prices very reasonable.Hopefully the prices will be similar in San Stefanos.

sorry to hijack this thread but I`m also new to the forum
I am staying at the Romanza Hotel with my wife on July 24th for two weeks and can`t wait to get there.I`ve been to Corfu once before,in 1985,staying in Perama.
If the reviews and reports about San Stefanos are true then we should be in for an unforgettable holiday.

Alnwickist....would that be Alnwick Northumberland? not too far away from there myself :)
yes it`s Alnwick in Northumberland.Where you from  Colin?
