I voted remain, but I'm not a sore loser. I'm going to get on with it!

I've also been going to Greece for the last 25 years.  I've been to fabulous places, Kefalos on Kos, Pefkos on Rhodes, Lassi in Kefalonia, Argassi, Alykanas, and Kalamaki, and last year Agios Georgios a few miles away from San Stefanos.

Every holiday I've ever been on in Greece has been fabulous. The Greeks are a wonderful nation, full of wonderful people who care about trying to make our holidays the best they can.

Well said.

'Forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing'

Andy

Good grief!! Really!! It must be so hard to be a remainer carrying around the weight of being right about everything.

Brave New World Jumbo!? I don't see what's brave about it, common sense to me. As for the New World bit the euro was 1:107 in June 2011 1:114 in July 2013 nowt new. Since 2008 nervousness in the financial markets has become the new norm.

I think people need to calm down a bit and I don't mean you Jimbo.

Once things have settled down and our political classes get back to doing what they are paid to do the exchange rate can get back to fluctuating within more normal parameters. It's 1.23 at the moment which is what it was back in April.

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Re: Planning your eating out
« on: April 18, 2016, 11:31:08 PM »
Well we arrive at midnight so no evening meal for us. We normally either hit Zorbas or Little Prince first night with our sons but this year we're on our own so we'll play it by ear.

Hello Hippopots. Didn't make San Stef last year so I don't know if the Sunset was open. Any signs of life this year. Always one of our favourite places to eat. My son reckons they do the best Sofrito in the village.

If we weren't already in would you vote to join? Any takers. I strongly believe that in 10 years time the EU won't exist as we know it. To survive the eurozone will have to integrate ever closer leaving the likes of UK ever more on the outside looking in. With the continued rise of some far right parties Europe ain't going to be a pretty place.

As for the CBI and other big business supporting the IN campaign these are the same people who said we should join the euro or lose out. That went well.
