Title: Arillas Wine Frstival
Post by: Bluebell744 on September 01, 2016, 04:59:24 PM
I'm staying in San Stefanos for another 10 days and have read about the wine festival. It's this Saturday and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there's a bus to get you back to San Stefanos. I don't mind walking to Arillas but not back when I've had a few wines! Also does anyone know where in Arillas it's held? I know how to get to the beach but that's it. Thanks.

No busses that time of night. San Stef Travel are providing travel to and from the festival for 8 euros per person.
Directions: Head towards Arillas, when meeting the tee junction turn left (not right towards the beach) festival is about 50 yards along on left, just past Brouklis Taverna.

For those late visitors I see that Arillas has a beer festival lined up for mid October, with several Italian brewers coming over too.

Rilo, there are now some very good Italian brewers. Forget Peroni, Moretti, Nastro Azzuro and the like. Search out northern Italy brewers such as Brewfist, Birrifico Toccalmatto, or Birra Baladin. Italy now boasts hundreds of microbreweries, although mostly from the north. If any of those are included on the guest list it would be a good party to go to. (Also keep an eye out for that Belgian Brewery "Vivian" I've mentioned before) Cheers mate!

Ok cambridge..thanks for info..always enjoy a nice beer but not had much experience of Italian beers.as you passed through Italy your more qualified than me..off to Germany at weekend for 5 days, staying not far from Bitberg, a town known for its beer so will have to test a few out..

These are the brews I know are signed up to come; Birrificio Lambrate (Milan), Birrificio Rurale (Desio), Birra Del Borgo (Rieti) and Pogue Mahone Craft Beer (Brescia).
