Been back home a week, booked up for end of month in Sugar and Almonds, no pockets in a shroud  ;D .

For some reason I read (twice) "booked for next year" ! End of the month is quite keen, well done you...

Where to stay / Re: Jasmine Hotel.
« on: September 16, 2024, 12:22:06 AM »
Stayed here for a week, absolutely spotless, and fabulous hosts. We were in one of the new suites, they are amazing, large double bed upstairs, with large balcony, walk in shower and seating area downstairs, fridge, work station, and smaller balcony, mozzie screens on each door too, a bonus. There is a bar, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, a pool with loungers all around, to catch the sun all day. Consider this hotel if you want to be a little further away from the centre, you will not be disappointed.

Sounds good, thank you.

It looks a tad windy there today, but still beautiful! Odd seeing people on the beach in shorts etc... Even if a little warmer here today, at 12c it's not swimming weather!

Saw there had been really bad weather this week, and just looking at the long range forecast for next 2 weeks looks rainy every day...do I care?  ::) Nope, cos a rainy day in San Stef is better than a sunny day at work... 8)
Fingers crossed they are wrong, but in any case you are right and I'm sure there will be sunshine. Oh, and it will be a lot warmer than here!

Had a quick peep on there just now, okay looking at Kamini Bar... Looking quite busy, and it really makes you want to be there soaking up the atmosphere and contemplating the current 27c , so jealous of those sitting there just now!

Ditto Winkie, drives me crazy, use ear pods or whatever. Don’t impose your choice of music on others. One of the reasons we stay at Fedra, as you know Dimitri would stamp it out straight away! We are there now…… super chilled and wonderful as ever.

Perhaps a list of known quiet places would be good, but likely most know them already. Enjoy your stay BAJ, it looks gorgeous and calm there today.

Folks, what are your thoughts on places and people, playing music whilst you chill by the pool ?. It is a pet hate of mine, I'm there to relax, not listen to others taste in music. I have even seen folks watching  a film on their phones, with the volume screwed up, on a flight  >:( . Wear headphones or earbuds, be considerate to others in your surroundings.

I'd prefer not to hear it, but come to the conclusion a long time back that it was best to not let it annoy me (I know it can be hard at times). Worst of all for me in the musak blasters on the beach, especially when I'm trying to sleep in the sun...

Stupid question probably.......but does the pool have any water in it?

Sometimes TB in the morning it is hard to tell, but now (15:39 UK time) with the sun on it, no problem!

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Re: Sweet Spot
« on: June 28, 2024, 02:04:32 AM »
Hey, Scottygirl,

We're also leaving tonight and delayed like most of Europe.

Currently enjoying the new lounge at the airport.

Have a safe journey.

Finger crossed neither of you have too long a delay.

New restaurant Spetserako is excellent would definitely recommend.
Beach has just about been cleared of seaweed. It’s taken a while.
Weather settled now but I believe winds back tomorrow!
Our last day, on late flight back tonight.
Enjoy those if you still to visit. X

Thanks for the info ScottyGirl, hope you had a wonderful time (seems to have whizzed by).

LOL. I know. Fancy closing at 11, a mere 5 hours after starting work. This place is open late, so you may be able to place an order the night before?

Thanks for the great updates, much appreciated by us all I'm sure.

Lovely weather but very hot.

3.30 this afternoon it was 34.5 in the shade.

Out of interest, took a reading in the sun. 47 degrees!!

Stay safe and hydrated everyone.

Yes, according to Accuweather here it's been very hot the last 3-4 days. Too hot for us humans - keep cool.
