Hi returning to San stefanos in August, stayed at the mythos in 2010, just wondered what the prices were like this year, beer, breakfast, evening meals etc. and also car hire and fuel.
Cheers.

Hi Buttsboy and welcome to the forums. Now the season is well under way someone will answer these queries for you as a few forum members have already been.

I have to say that prices were only marginally up- Specials now 8.5/9 instead of 8; Amstel in supermarkets 1.15 instead of 1.10 type of thing. Petrol up by a huge amount though, now dearer than at home :o

thanks for that,
does anyone know if the new bypass is finished yet?
-
Re ByPass no its still not open as yet........
-
Lesley, it seems to be more or less complete, and I saw some locals use it as a cut through last year, do you know why it's not open - - not paid for maybe?
-
Re ByPass, yes I too have seen cars and younger lads on mopeds on the new road/bypass either end of the village (Avliotes). Also seems to be a bit of a parking bay for coaches as well (top end towards SS). As to why its not open, I don't know the official reason, of course lots of speculation re why, maybe a local resident will know and post? ???

3 course specials at all restaraunts are 9 euros or 7 for one course with a glass of wine. Most main courses are between 6 - 8 euros with starters at around 3. Beer is 2.50 in most bars although the further up the hill the more expensive - it was 3 euros in Romanza and 2.70 in Kapitanios.

Captive audience to some extent up there I guess!!

no massive change from last year really!
