San Stefanos Online ~ North West Corfu

Been viewing some pics this morning via social media. The village is all but closed, even Tasty Corner, which I thought was open all year round. Its a ghost town, there are folks still heading out this month, my word, it is going to be difficult finding somewhere to eat. I think the Barras and Teresas still open at the moment, but until when Im unsure. The beach is deserted, no beds or brollies, just looks completely different now, incredible how in a few days, the village changes into winter mode.

Looking fabulous today, very calm sea, and all appears to be quiet as our favourite place gradually closes down for the season.

Thank you Karen, Winkie and Jimbo but I'm okay. Just having a few off days what with this weather, the damn virus and the selling of my dads house and all that that entails.

You wouldn't believe how much stuff two people can accumulate when living in the same house for 57 years. It's taken my younger sister and I over 10 days to clear out the house, shed and greenhouse which included 6 appointed trips to the waste recycling site and 2 "large item" council collections. The stuff they kept. My dad used to say "if it doesn't eat or drink don't throw it away as you may need it". The thing is I used to criticise my dad for it but I find I do the same. Strange.   

On a brighter note I met my best mate today, socially distanced of course, and we've decided to meet in our garden this Saturday (going to be dry apparently) and light the fire pit and have a few sherberts. 

Think there will be a few firepits up here in Scotland after Niks latest ruling. Devastating for the hotel and pub trade.

Have a good Winter Lesley,I expect it will be a relief not to have to wear that mask all day.  I hope you'll be able to enjoy some good weather before the Winter sets in,  maybe go on the beach🙂

Beachcomber closing for the season tomorrow night, the weather seems to be the reason according to social media reports.
