is now out.

thank you

Prices seem to have shot up for a first edition brochure!
-
Just think for next summer to price up Easyjet, Ryan and BMI baby and as a regular you have an idea of a few places to stay.. join up with a few others rent a minibus transfers or car hire and who knows!!!!
-
Just had a quick look for next June, as we're not coming to SS this year.
Going for just 7 nights the prices are steep, but 14 nights not too bad.
Teresas s/c, fly 8 June out of BTL - 7 night price is £395/person, stay for 14 nights and it's only £461 - although if i remember rightly that's a lot dearer than when we went in 2009. In 2010 we did Ejet and stay at Fedra Mare.
A weird one on Thomas Bay though - only 2 rooms left - this surely has to be a Thomson's marketing trick - only 2 rooms left when the holidays for 2012 have only been available a day or two! Suspicious!
By the way, i thought Teresas were 'leaving' Thomsons grasp for 2012 and beyond.
For those thinking of going Ejet and the likes, next year, i think we'll find flight prices will shoot up, because of the oil price - plus, Ejet have been losing money this year - i'm sure they'll try and clawback profits by increasing next year's prices.

I thought Teresa were leaving the Thomson grasp as well. In the brochure when I looked yesterday they had only the S/C in and not the B&B

Do you really need to book now before summer 2011 has almost started for summer 2012???? Is this not more marketing tricks to have a cash flow for the T.Op's maybe? My suggestion would be to talk to those you stay with this year and see if you can book as an indie and then check out prices and weigh it all up a bit later down the line.......
-
The problem is Lesley if you want to stay at a certain property you sometimes need to book early. I don't go until September and by then the cheaper prices by the T/Os have gone. We would love to do independent at Teresa S/C given the chance as would lots of other regulars.
-
Have you got their email to drop them a line for summer 2012 prices? Or would you like me to pass by and find out any info for you? Happy to do so.
-
I do have Leos email address but even looking at Teresa website there is nothing on there about being independent at all

Our flight prices for July 2012 have increased by around 30% from Edinburgh.
Fuel increases in the last 12 months have gone up around 18%
Fuel is forecast to increase by about 16% in the next 12 months.

Greece tax increases

I wonder if it will get cheaper????
-
Hi Loftyscot, I think you are right to worry, I am also concerned how the Greeks can survive without putting up prices.
Let's hope there is a big light at the end of this financial tunnel!

Looking to book a couple for 2012 at SS and shocked to see how much Thomson have raised the prices (ie increase of £70 in May) for our usual place. Doubtless the owners wont get any of that!!

I do have Leos email address but even looking at Teresa website there is nothing on there about being independent at all
I have emailed Leo asking if they are going to do any independent bookings for next year
Just read that they are not but are sticking with Thomsons
-
Dont forget the importance of getting the travel insurance right if booking in bits and pieces. Lots only cover one item if doing that way.
-
I have checked our Annual Travel Insurance, all OK.
Don't forget to read small print as most insurance co's hate to pay out!
Always ask about pre-existing conditions before buying, most are usually covered.
