What exactly are the new rules regarding swimming pools in Greece and what are the reasons for these rules?

We first managed to get in there in 2021, when traveller numbers reduced because of covid rules/testing. So this year will be our fourth stay. Can’t imagine staying anywhere else now. Always looked after, the breakfasts are ridiculous!
Breakfasts at Fedra Mare are fantastic, miss them a lot.

It's bound to have an impact. Whereas beachfront tavernas/hotels have an allocated beach space with as many sun beds as they can fit in, now they will have to space them a minimum of 4 metres apart. So maybe they will charge more per sun bed to make up the shortfall of income?

Gorgeous down here in Wiltshire, 20° most days, only the N/E wind that spoils it.

Information and help please / Re: Revolut Cards
« on: March 11, 2023, 01:02:49 PM »
As waspman has pointed out many times, the Halifax Clarity Card (which is Mastercard) is excellent. I've used mine just about everywhere. We take enough cash for drinks and a bit of lunch and use the card for evening meals.

Yes the Halifax Clarity Card is very good, it even won me a £20 bet in Ag Stef some years ago, but that's another story. Obviously tha bar owners and restauranteurs would much prefer cash for obvious reasons.

Oh no Lesley, I am so sorry for us not having the Vicky to come to but far more sorry for you and for George and his family. Hopefully this new owner will realise the error of his ways and rehire you all when he has done faffing about! The only other place I have ever stayed in San Stef was the Romanza and i can't face Heart Attack Hill twice a day! All the best and hopefully we will still see you in the village.
Julie and Steve
We knew a Julie and Steve when we (George & Lesley) stayed at The Romanza, are you the same ones?

We finally had some spits of rain this afternoon. Like every other day, the morning was bright and sunny and beautiful. We spent it by the lovely blue Nafsika pool. The reason for the green was a couple of weeks ago somebody put too much chlorine in; this changes the Ph of the water and causes mineral oxidation. It's been rather expensively fixed by Spiros, even though he only has four rooms occupied from now on. Thanks, Spiros!

Lots of people left today, right across the village. It's going to be a quiet week. Maybe some rain showers. The air is noticeably cooler this evening, but the clouds are clearing a bit over the islands.

The nurse at the clinic gave me the all-clear this morning, and said I can eat, drink, swim, do what I like. I'm much better than I was when I arrived, that's for sure. We've had some great food at Nafsika, Mistral, and today at Manthos for lunch.

Yammas, everybody!

Nafsika, Mistral and Manthos, you must be really worn out travelling such long distances. so glad you're feeling better
