Cheers Waspman, yes will watch out for you when we arrive. We like the sun beds near the cliff end just a little quieter , nothing to do with the nudie section !!!  ;D

Thanks for the helpful report Karen , glad you had a good time, like the word forumites also! Can I ask for a wee bit of clarity re the beach sun beds etc. We stay at the Romanza and toddle down the clay path to the cliff end of the beach. How is this area holding up?  In the past sun beds came almost to this point, and the beach is nice and wide up to the Romanza end, will we still see sun beds this side? 1 week until we are there. Cheers.

Thank you for the daily snap shots Hippopots, really enjoy the little pictures you create for us as we sit here in the rain ! ( you happy now  Waspman!  ) Sounds like everything is in full swing which is great,  just over two weeks for us, so fingers crossed you continue with your ' it's hot again' theme. Cheers.

Where to stay / Re: Barras
« on: July 01, 2014, 11:33:23 PM »
Hi again
Do the rooms at barras have basics such as kettle ????

Thanks
We stayed there about three years ago, more than adequate compact kitchen area with all the basics well covered, kettle, fridge , two ring hob etc. Good supply of cutlery ,crockery also. Well run, very clean and tidy with friendly staff. Enjoy.

I hate tribute bands. Proper musicians play their own music in their own way. Second-rate musicians imitate.
Partly agree Jimbo, however it's always pleasant to hear familiar songs performed well, and it's fun to see people dancing and  singing along on holiday. However,  you still need to be able to talk, and hear one another. When  we cant find somewhere within the bar to chat and enjoy the best of both worlds we move along to a quieter bar. Can't understand why some owners can't get this simple balance right.

Hi spikeyb,
customer.service@easyjet.com seems to be the main portal for general queries , not the best web site, hope you find what you're looking for soon .

We could not make the prices work with Thomsons this year, so booked independent accomm / flights, flying with Thomas Cook out of Newcastle. If I recall, there was only one hold luggage option set at 20k. Even with private transfers we saved a small fortune dropping Thomsons this time around. Not sure how I would feel paying extra for hold luggage when you see what some passangers manage to get into the cabin as hand luggage!

Head up the hill for a Romanza evening meal and watch one of the great sunsets ? ,Greek night is always fun also, not sure re the hill if you have a little one to consider though? Pool table, darts and games available on the level at the 3 w bar for a more traditional bit of family fun?

You didn't look introverted when I saw you flying that kite on the nudey beach!
1 kite, 1 ball of string, 50 badges, nothing to see here, move along please!  ;D

It would be nice to hear the stickers are working  - leading to some hellos and chats around the village. We are not the most extrovert couple in the world - so a little bit of reassurance that they are being collected and worn with good effect in early season would encourege us all to join in when we arrive in July.

Hi Louise , welcome to the forum. The eateries are rich and plentiful, with an individual slant found in each venue. If you have a mo there are some useful threads in the where to eat section, spoilt for choice covers some popular listings over the last three seasons, you may have to look at some of the older threads but several restaurants remain consistently popular. You are in an ideal spot as the Barras as it sits close to the main crossroads , tasty corner sits here also , a great make your mind up spot if you are unsure which way to head on any given night ! Enjoy.
