I must admit, I have always found cars parked on the beach weird.  It does spoil the view and I haven't witnessed this ANYWHERE else when I've been on my holidays.

You could be right. It's the same few of us who post. I find it's a very useful forum, especially for newcomers to San Stef. I like to do little updates when I'm out there and have had pm's to thank me, so it's worth it. I have been approached by people out there, who have recognised me. I remember seeing Jimbo at Nafsika pool a few years ago and recognised him from a couple of San Stef videos, so I just asked if it was him, it's great to meet people you have chatted to on here :)
Yes I have also spent an hour with Jimbo and his lovely wife in The Aquarius Bar I think.  Great banter but I could hardly see for the smoke.   ;)

This has always been a very contentious issue on forums and one well worth a mention. I’m not too sure if with this common mode of forum (SMF, which is common) it is just a case they are registered users simply ticking the box in their profile to say they do not want to be seen (named) as on-line and they show up as “guests”?
But getting back to the post, unfortunately I’m not too sure if the likes of myself are not to blame for the lack of participation to some extent. It’s the old adage of “once behind that keyboard”, along of course with a few bevvies and the often late hour :-[ . But I also think a lot just can’t be bothered to join in and just want to know what’s going on – they are still supporting it by using it, even if it would be better to have an upfront and seen to be active forum. Hopefully those running the forum see it as being used as I’m sure everyone on here gets something out of it and would not like to lose it?
All we need is damn good argument!  Someone just needs to post a contentious subject and everyone will be flying in.  The more obtrusive the better.  It's great.  Hi Jimbo!

Fedra eh, stunning chilled place, with fabulous owners, and little Eirini. Lucky devil you, you will be spoiled for sure.
They are lovely apartments.  They even have upstairs to your bedroom and bathroom.  Two balconys overlooking a lovely pool.  And as you say Radarman they are lovely owners with a chilled atmosphere.  Dimitri loves to show off his wine collection and both the wife and I love good wine ........ hic!

Is that in the old part of the village Rod?
Heading towards the harbour, just past Fantasea turn left, 50 yards up on left.

I see one new person has registered...welcome!
Great effort.  However we need more contributions.  Please help.  I am guilty as I only look in when I'm about to go on holiday.  My wife and I are hopefully going in September to our beautiful place and I promise to all that I will report back my findings.  Does that sound a little too much regimental?

Agree completely Rod. The difference is that people today ignore the rules that don't suit them because they've never been told NOT to do something (oh, I really do sound like an "old fart" now!)
No Barbara, you are not an old frat.  You have morals and standards that a lot of today's youth (not all) will not tolerate.  In other words they are brought up as selfish brats.  My wife works in schools and says the parents of today (not all) are pathetic.  My wife's main gripe is that the parents want to be their child's best friend/mate. "No she says, be their mam and dad".

Weren't we all "types" back in the day?? Think of your 20 year old self and wonder would you behave any differently - be honest.

I had the same conversation with my mate the other day and we really struggled to think that we would have been compliant. When you're 20 you're invincible, socialising and meeting new people is the order of the day.
I know exactly what I was like as a 20 year, a bit of a rascal just say.  However, even at that young age if the government and or NHS implored/instructed everyone  to comply to certain rules and restrictions then I would obey their words.  There is a worldwide pandemic and lots of people are dying lest we forget.  This is nothing like we experienced as a 20 year old.

This is a question mainly for the people that have already visited San Stef this year or are there now.  Are tavernas and pubs taking contactless, what with covid, or do they prefer euros?

Some landlords amaze me. What's the better outcome, some rent or no rent.
Exactly this.  Especially during these difficult financial times.  What a waste!

Sorry if it's already been mentioned but does anyone know if Beer o Clock is open this year.  Best curry on Corfu.  Lovely owners and staff are great.

I'm sure Glen more or less built the pub/building from scratch.  My mate Stephen claims Glen broke his foot whilst building the place.   ;).  Just for you Glen.  See you in 5 weeks.

Arrived back home on Monday from 2weeks in the place we love .We left Gatwick on the 20th .Flight was under 3 hours .Everybody wore masks .Got to Corfu airport ,were not tested got luggage in 20 mins 👍.Used the TUI transfer coach everybody wore masks .Only 3 drop offs in Sidari then onto San Stef .Arrived at our home from home The Little Prince on its opening day .For the first 4 days we had the pool to ourselves but the second week things got busier .Everything was great as always .We spent a few days on the beach used the sun beds in front of Athina .We enjoyed lunches at Athina beach bar and Mango .Great evening meals at Little Prince,Zorbas ,Yiannis,Manthos ,Fantasea anD Yiannis Grill.Enjoyed many cocktails at Little Prince bar .Had a couple of walks up to Akrotiri .Had a hire car for 1 day and had a drive via Sidari down to Paleokastritsa .Would just like to say a big Thank You to everybody at The Little Prince for making a stay great ,Dimitris and Pipina and Team ,Mike ,Anna &Spiro and Yiannis .The transfer back .....picked up at little Prince then not to Sidari as normal but had a couple of pick ups in Roda .Several people on the the coach were not wearing face masks but as soon as we arrived at the airport they quickly put them on .One of those on the coach not wearing one was vaping on the coach !Corfu airport was great checked in at the new extension ,lovely and cool and plenty of seating ,didn’t have to queue for the loo as they now have have 2 blocks of toilets .Flight back was good not full the same as the one coming out .When we arrived at Gatwick the air crew announced to passengers to stay seated until the air bridge was in place ,as soon as the plane landed and was making its way to the terminal you could hear seatbelts being undone and as soon as it stopped people shot up ! The crew did say passengers would be disembarked row by row but everybody who was near the back of the plane shot forward so we didn’t stand a chance !Anyway apart from that little negative everything was GREAT 👍
Great review Chrissie.  My pet hate are the people that can't wait to get out their seats on the plane.  Ask yourself why?  The luggage is still being unloaded, passport control will still take forever and then the carousel takes half an hour to start.  Everybody just chill.   :)
