« on: April 29, 2009, 09:58:22 AM »Essentials - i.e. beer esp. mythos 500ml bottle, smirnoff vodka and are spirit measures "say when!" and typical 3-course meal.
Not just cheapest but average. Went to Santorini last June for friends wedding and it was 8 to 9 euros for a beer and a vodka/coke in most bars.
We've been going to Carvoeiro on the Algarve for last 8 years and a pint of premium lager is about 3.50 euros, vodka/coke about 4 euros.
What a coincidence , we were in Carvoeiro too last year,Colina village....expensive snack bar

I see Holiday uncovered has our apartments - The Rose Garden - in 4th place [ goodness knows how they work these things out ] we primarily chose it because it's a little way out of town and looks just right in supplying 2 bedrooms, a/con [ got to have that] and situated where I can take my early morning walk - I'm an early riser.

We're - probably not having a hol in 2010, perrhaps a week in Oct, and I retire soon after and we're on an Aegean cruise hopefully in May 2011, so if this place is as good as people indicate I may not be back for a while anyway
