San Stefanos Online ~ North West Corfu

Thats interesting as we were speaking to a couple in another restaurant who were staying at Nafsika (and had for the last 4 years) but were eating elsewhere as they said the food wasn't a patch on what it had been last year! Each to their own I suppose.

Just back from 11 nights - thank god for aircon cos it was HOT! Everything pretty much the same. Tried the new places, Barollo? very nice food, more international than Greek in my opinion, Mythos more traditional and good value, Hideout - really nice bar with great cocktails - maybe a tad pricier than some but well worth it. 180 degrees - probably now the best place to watch the sun go down. Great place with a really good vibe about it.
Everywhere else much the same as always, no rubbish issue this year (well not in San Stef anyway) and village in general seemed a bit busier than last year. Brusko, Zorbas and the like nearly full every evening. Prices hardly changed from last year as well.

Yip - I've given up waiting in case of an increase and took the pain yesterday. Still 12 days til we fly out but don't anticipate any improvement.

Shouldn't this thread be called This Year now?

Looking forward to trying any new eateries! Variety is the spice of life as they say.

We go June and end of August/beginning September as July and early August are too hot for us - not so much the daytimes but the evenings.

We've got our 2 lots of flights booked and are already planning where to eat each night! If the pound drops and we have to pull our horns in a bit it will just mean a couple more evenings eating a gyros rather than a 3 course meal. We are firmly of the opinion that you only live once so make the most of good health whilst you have it as there will inevitably come a time when we aren't able to travel and then we'll need all the memories we can get!
