Title: Kapetanios Apartments
Post by: Cas Rhino on August 15, 2011, 11:17:26 PM
Hi Everybody - does anybody know of any problems at the Kapetanios Apartments such as rooms being closed. My family and I were due to stay there from today for two weeks and were cancelled at the last minute by our tour operator. Any information would be much appreciated. For those of you lucky enough to be in San Stefanos enjoy it because it's a lovely place to be.

have heard reports like this on various sites about them. It is disgusting that they let people down right at the last minute like this.
Did the tour operator offer you anything else in it's place Cas Rhino?. They usually offer Sidari as an alternative

I've heard this happening regarding Mythos, but that was
because the owners were renting privately as well as with TC
and there was some sort of mix up.I don't recall any mention of this with the Vicky.

Kapetanios Apartments is open and up and running they also have a website of the same name so you can always email them or the tour operator to find out the reason for your change of reservation?  If you PM if you cannot find the website or email address I can provide for you.

Hi All

Thanks for your information. The operator is Thomas Cook and they offered Sidari. We declined and are at home in England. The "suggestion" was that the owners may have sold the rooms to somebody other than Thomas Cook but we haven't actually found out.

This the first time I've used a forum so I'm not sure how to PM but I'll find out. Going to York tomorrow so enjoy the weather in North West Corfu.

Thomas Cook, Why am I not surprised.  Evil they are, evil!  (gets dragged away from the computer by wife)

Must agree, no decent customer service there!
I suspect that they (T-Cook), created the problem as Kapitanios is well run and they would not do that kind of thing.

You have got me worried now - we travel to SS with Thomas Cook on 12 September, staying at the Vicky - I hope they don't cancel ours and offer us Sidari.  Please keep your fingers crossed for me.

Will definitely keep our fingers crossed Stromer - although I have never heard this happening at Vicky before.
Will look out for you after 12th as we will be on our last few days then.

Overbooking rarely happens, just always seems to be good old T/Cook when it does!

So sorry to hear about your holiday Cas Rhino.   We are due to stay at the Kapetanios in September and would be gutted if Thomas Cook changed our holiday at the last minute, especially if the only option was to stay at a different resort.
