Hi loftyscot, To change or not to change that is the question.
Ive also been wondering if now is the time to start stocking up with euro. The exchange rate has now been at this level for about 6 weeks now, but there is the default cloud looming on the horizon.
I'm tempted to wait until the Greek bailout has actually been approved until I change any significant quantities of hard earned cash into euros.

Great place to stay. Stayed there for 2 weeks last year and had a great time. Good food, rooms very comfortable - some of the largest we have had in Greece. They are in the centre of Ag. Stef handy for everywhere. You're sure to have a good time there.

I'm not sure how long it takes in a taxi as we had a coach transfer last year which took about 1 1/2 hours. We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment last year which was at the far end above the restaurant. Apartment was great. Both bedrooms were plenty big enough and have the benefit of a double balcony. Kitchen area was fine with the normal 2 ring cooker, fridge, pots pans crockery etc - but unless you are on a tight budget who eats in in Ag Stef. No smell or noise from the restaurant area, although we were never in the room when restaurant was open - too much to see, eat and do!! Pool is great and was never busy and no need to put towels at silly o'clock. Would highly recomend the Little Prince - great location, great owners, good food, etc.
Hope this is of some help.

Information and help please / Re: Handy Hints & Tips needed.

Buy your toiletries at the airport in departures - saves weight and the possibility of a mess in your bags when you come to unpack, and if there is a Boots in departures then their prices and offers are the same as in the high street.

Looks like BMI may get taken over by IAG (who own BA). They have a lot flights out of heathrow so it could be that IAG are buying these slots at heathrow rather than buying an airline that is losing loads of money! It could be that BMI may not be around next year.

Thanks Don. We never went to the Nafsika last year, too much choice in Ag. Staf and you can't get round everywhere! We will cetainly go back to beachcombers and ozzy oils but there are lots of places we didn't try, so will certainly be trying some of the places we have been to yet. Certainly looking forward to the food at the Nafsika but will also be sampling the delights of the other resturants in Ag. Stef.

Where to stay / Nafsika
« on: September 07, 2011, 11:52:06 PM »
Have booked into the Nafsika next July for a fortnight. First time we have gone half board in Greece but the cost of going half board was not that much more than self-catering. I believe that the half board option is a set menu, but you can eat off the main menu for an extra cost. Does anyone know roughly how much more the extra cost is? We don't intend eating at the Nafsika every night as there are so many other great places to eat - beachcombers, ozzy oil, mychica, etc, etc. but will eat there quite a few times during our time in Ag. Stef.

I agree with you Chrissie - stayed last year and couldn't fault the Little Prince. They are some of the best appts we have stayed in, always clean and certainly some of the most spacious. Some people always want to find fault - perhaps they are a little OCD on the cleaning side!!
Also loved Ozzy Oil

Agree totally Gavlah, you pay your money and take your chances, although booking early gives you a better choice, especially during the school holidays. Although the choices are always hard as everywhere in S.S. seems to be good.

Hi Shelly and everyone.
Another newbie to the forum, although not to San Stef. I'm another one who likes to book as soon as possible after coming back from holiday, not only does it give you something to look forward to, but also the earlier you book the better the price you get. I have just booked to go to the Nafsika at the end of July 2012 for 2 weeks  and since I booked it has gone up over £100!! how can Thomsons warrant these price increases in such a short time period. So if like me you have to go in the school holidays book as earlier as you can to get the best prices - it is only a small deposit and it gives you more time to pay for it.
