If it's not BBQ night you'll be OK just to arrive, but if you want to reserve a table directly overlooking the beach/sea then it's best to reserve.

I agree with Waspman, well worth the trek up the hill, wonderful people and great food. :)
-
Oh reserving a table overlooking the sea is great advice, thanks. Which night is bbq night (I'd rather go on an 'ordinary' night?
I don't mind the trek at all, it's the other half who just wants the closest bar and restaurant ;D

Sunday is BBQ night, and the trek up is well worth it, and just think it's all downhill after that!!

We thought it was consistently the best food in the village on our last visit.
Try the Kokkinisto...... superb..... as was the Stamna
-
Not had a meal at Romanza but definately on the to do list this year :P
-
We concur with above posts , our favourite by a distance, the views , sunsets, and the attentive staff do add something extra which makes the climb more than worth it. Don't forget there are a few fine watering holes enuroute . ;D

Is it far to walk from the Tereza, we never got up as far as the Romanza last time!!!
Also how would we book a table, would we have to pop up there say earlier in the day that we wanted to eat there?
-
Now there's an idea Sellsy. Don't know that half of the village very well starting at Athens Bar what are the best refreshment stops en route?

We went last Sunday night to Romanza as we love the Greek nights there but we always book a table and just order off the menu as we prefer to do that. :)
-
Thanks wasp man received the pm and got the number! Sent you message back but don't know if it sent!

Hi Rae21, watering holes up the hill to the Romanza include Terezas, (nice views also), and Kapetanios, more sheltered if windy, with nice pool / garden views, both well thought of by many on here, once you get to Kapetanios only two bends to go, maybe three ? - usually tipsy by then! :)

Is the Romanza the place that overlooks Arilas and San Stef? When we stayed in Arilas we thought about visiting but by the time we'd had early evening Mythos [or Corfu beer] and she'd had a G&T we changed our minds. Might have to make the effort so is early evening the best time to take the hike? Any recommendations en-route welcome
-
No - it's way up the hill twowards Avliotes.
You're thinking of Gravia or Akrotiri.
-
Cheers Sellsy looking forward to trying them out just six weeks to wait :-)

Food and ambience really nice there...
