Yes, when I say another bar would have been nice - I did NOT mean a noisy bar with tribute bands!!

The main road is a long walk, and there are still slight hilly bits.
Shortest route - side of Nafsika but it's also the steepest.
Nice scenic route - side of Fantasea but it's a rough road and a little hilly but great views and bonus get to have a Mythos in the chicken shack bar.
The road up to tsaros (side of juice bar) is ok once you get to tsaros, we always stop off there ( we call it base camp) for a Mythos (I know it's not far from the bottom of the hill but it's rude not too!) after that there are trees that you can stand under in shade for a breather.
Whichever way you go you won't be disappointed once you're at the top of the hill.
Hi all, settled in to the resort now, all good with quite a few people out and about, many restaurants busy without being mobbed.highlights food wise up to now - brilliant fish in coconut at Nafsika,(great to meet Jimbo and Gilly there also ) lemon and thyme chicken at Ozzie oil was fantastic, lucky to be squeezed in last night! while the food at the Romanza remains second to none, wherever you may wander when you get here it's all good folks , and as relaxed and welcoming as ever.Wow, sounds yummy
Hot, sunny and blowy in Agios Stephanos today.
You can tell the school holidays have arrived - the pools are full of happy kids!
Looking forward to the live music at Nafsika tonight - they are brilliant - nice eclectic mix of blues, standards, sixties etc.
Good news - the beach by Waves/Mistral/Manthos has widened quite a bit over the last few days. Spiros at Mistral reckons it's added 5/6 yards.
The seaweed is almost deposited on the beach now the wind has dropped, and provided somebody can be persuaded to collect it, it should be fine. Part of the problems this year seem to come from the strange local government system here. The elections were weeks ago, but the outgoing politicos remain in power until August 31st - and they appear not to be going gracefully.
Meanwhile - another beautiful day - hot sun, warm sea, cold beer and wonderful food.
Oh, and yesterday I sat at Hippopots painting a large fat frog with Hull City football strip. Jackie was immensely kind, but really I should have got the seven-year old Greek child at the next table to do it. I developed an unusual technique, best described as Ceramic Primitive. When I was about fourteen I planned to be one of the world's great painters, but now I doubt if I'd get a job demonstrating emulsion painting in B&Q.
