- Red Ale Special
- Dark Ale Bitter
- Amorosa Weisse
- Contessa IPA
- Royal Ionian Pilsner
- Ionian EPOS
- Ionian Gold
- 1842 Ginger Beer
I think I tried the Red and the Dark Ale last year, in Agios Georgios, but I'd really like to try the Weisse...
-
Personally dont think they are that special, and a bit overpriced..but probably a bit biast as i live in the land of Belgian beer..
-
Ionian gold great beer
-
@rilo57 I'm a fan of Belgian beer myself, La Chouffe, Chimay, Karmeliet and of course not forgetting San Stefanus http://www.st-stefanus.com/ (http://www.st-stefanus.com/) (surely that last one should be stocked in San Stefanos) :)
@johny rebel - Will give it a go

Hi riojabear..yes a nice choice you have, but with over 500 different beers to sample i still have a long way to go..I asked my local beer shop if they could get hold of some san stefanus but had to buy 10 crates minimum order..still Looking where i can buy it..might bump into you as your staying at Nafsica same time as wd are in san stef...
-
@rilo57 Looking forward to Nafsika, heard a lot of good stuff about it. We'll have to have a beer tasting session 8)
-
Sounds good to me..be nice to drink some beers that dont blow your head off...
-
By the way..know knowsley well....small world or what..
-
My other half is a big fan of the 1842 ginger beer. Ionian gold for me
-
Ionian Gold for us both, with honorable mentions to the Real Ale and Ginger Beer.
-
Personally I love the Pilsner, but they are all good answers
-
Only drink Mythos while in SS, don't like beer in uk I'm a cider drinker but Mythos oh my I have 3 of the glasses at home 2 large one small all with the handle
-
Rilo, have you found "Dark Sister"by the Brussels Beer Project, or any of the beers by the Viven Brewery?
As far as the Ionian Brewery goes by favourite is probably the Contessa IPA. But why they don't add a really hoppy, West Coast style IPA is beyond me.
-
Dark sister dosent ring a bell cambridge.and regards the brewery not heard of it..but there are so many small independant brewerys around ans so many only available locally difficult to track them down..would be a good chalange to sample them all though...but would need a huge glass cabinet as each beer has its individual glass and at over 1100 beers to choose ....yammas...
-
@rilo57 Yes, right beer with the right glass makes all the difference. I have to make do with 4, Trappistes Rochefort, Chimay, Chouffe and Leffe. Examples of the first 3 follow, but trying to find somewhere safe to store them is a challenge:
