Information and help please / Re: Taxi's
« on: February 27, 2011, 06:35:55 PM »
When we go, in July 2011, Thomsons flight only return for both of us is £946.  We have booked on Easyjet the same flight dates, better flight times plus speedy boarding for £337.  Taxi fares are about £100, 2 ways.

What would you choose, Thomsons plus coach transfer for £946 or Easyjet with taxi transfers for £437?

Are you getting free transfers?, I think not!!

I agree with strogs, Noula (the owner of SS travel) is fantastic, she never lets us down, she will give you a fixed price whereas if you hail a taxi from the airport it will invariably cost you more!!

From previous experience May is not the best time to go.  It is warm but usually not warm enough to swim in the sea or the pools.

We visited on 21st May 2010 for one week and it was very rainy almost every day, torrential on some days.

Mid June is much better but there is still the possibility of thunder storms, usually in the night time.

Sorry Jimbo, it’s Waspman 1 Debra 0.

Yera was intended, it’s called banter.

He will probably have opened his apartments above up this yera-they were booked even before they were properly built!  Posted by Debra on 04/02/2011 at 08:07:53 PM

If you go to the Nafsika now Debra you'll only find Speros looking after his cats and dog, so he informed me recently.

Anyway enjoy your "tasy wonderful Greek food". sorry, just had to say it.

Thank you Yiannis, it’s nice to see someone else who researches and explains the facts.  It appears that your private booking is remarkably similar to mine.  I think you told me that your flight times are not so good, whereas, I think I told you that mine are great, day flights to arrive at San Stefanos at lunchtime, and return flights leaving in the early afternoon, having said that, Thomson’s flights would have also been great.

I know that in previous years you’ve always gone with Thomson whereas I usually go private so I’m glad that we can now both enjoy the many extra glasses of Mythos (with our kumquat marmalade on toast) with the money we’ve saved.

We’ve both got fantastic deals as will many others, but as I've suggested before it won’t suit everybody!!

By the way, I’ll be staying in one of the “cheaper” hotels too.

Hopefully I won’t have to post on this thread again, but who knows??
