We've just returned home and I intend to make comments about the places we dined at. Just to say though, that the Fantasea was special - we we dined their twice and on the first night it was a bit chilly so everyone was indoors. Superb food and service. The second time we sorted out a meza and we could dine on the balcony are overlooking the sea and the resort. I would say it was one the best experiences I've had when dining out. The service again was top notch, the 'waiters' amusing and polite. The food - superb. We had giant beans, Greek salad, pototes and the best Kalimari ever. One litre of wine, two metaxa's each [one on the hourse] and there was a bit of salad left. We paid 40 euro and felt we'd had more than value for money. Any other thoughts on the place because they deserve coustom.

That's it, I'm off to the Fantasea tonight, and I sincerely hope we get a metaxa to drink on the horse back to the hotel!!

We ate there last week..... spectacular!!!

We always go there at least a couple of times during our fortnight. Lovely food and good value for money as well. The setting is also very nice overlooking the sea. :)

Folks, please help me remember,is this eating place on the left going towards the church?.i recall seeing a restuarant in that area, but it was closed in May .
-
Yes it is - just a slight slope if I recall as well
-
It's up the hill towards the harbour past Nafsika and Manthos.

You're probably referring to the Jazzmin, it's been shut for many years now.
-
It was late opening as Kostas was in England
-
You're probably referring to the Jasmine, it's been shut for many years now.
I have been to Fantasea a few times and thought it was just up a slight slope to the eating area . I know where Jasmines was and it's a pity someone doesn't do something with it. :)

We haven't been to Fantasea before but it was already on the list for this year - looking forward to it even more now!
-
Jules, you are right,it is up a slight slope on to the car park.and from the road in front you go up a few steps.there used to be a pay phone there years ago.
-
Thought I was but you do start to wonder !!!! 8)

Will give it another chance this year.last year we went twice and never had half the selection on the menu,so didn't go again
-
We liked it for lunch, but as you say, the evening selection was quite limited.
-
Having just got back from SS I would highly recommend Fantasea , Kostas has done a great job in turning the old Golden Beach around . The food is excellent , hospitality great and views to die for . Congratulations Kostas .
