Have a good Winter Lesley,I expect it will be a relief not to have to wear that mask all day.  I hope you'll be able to enjoy some good weather before the Winter sets in,  maybe go on the beach🙂

Sorry to hear about your disappointing meal at Zorbas hobbes. Did you complain? I would have if it was that bad.  As for the dessert, many of the restaurants will serve a small portion of something sweet at the end of the meal, this is complimentary and not normally added to the bill. A nice touch I think..

Hello lovely lady, hope you are well. I,m guessing you are asking what is haar?, it is a rolling fog, comes toppling down from the local hills here.
Hello Winkie, yes that's I meant, never come across the word before .  I'm well thank you but kept busy looking after my husband.

Can I just say I respect everyone's idea of a holiday and I hope you respect mine. At home we are just pensioners with a quiet life. I'm a 63 year old grandma, who likes to let her hair down on holiday. I love dancing with my friends in the Condor, can't even do that, I gather. It's not about needing to drink, it's about socialising with friends who also like to be out after midnight without the fear of turning into a pumpkin, so enjoy your holidays everyone!
There's no age limit on having fun Karen, haven't you heard 60 is the new 40 so that makes you 43, you're young.  If you can't throw caution to the wind and have a good time once or twice a year on holiday when can you?

Of course it belongs to someone and it's a piece of wasteland, maybe  they could charge a small fee :)
Over the years I've seen Hotels ,apartments and shops built on what some might consider pieces of wasteland.  When they started building next to Pele and Maria's we wondered what it was going to be and were told it was to be a hotel. There's no room for a hotel there surely we thought , but lo and behold by the following year there was The Little Prince. Likewise Thomas Bay sprang up between September one year and the following June
Fedra Mare was built on a bit of scrub land where Manthos used to keep his chickens and turkeys.
Just goes to show one man's bit of wasteland is another man's Real Estate.

No there weren't so many cars years ago , not many of the locals had a car and there weren't the number of tourists that there are now. We used to sometimes rent a car from Dino , anyone remember him?  He used to live opposite Olympia, sadly passed away a few years ago.  His cars were a bit ropey but they got us around and he was the only rental option in the village.

Great idea Jim. Actually there is a large area of wasteland down that road, that could be turned into car parking :)

It probably belongs to someone and I don't think they'll take too kindly if people start parking their cars there.

Where else would they park? If they didn't park on the beach they'd only clutter up the roads and they're narrow enough. I admit it doesn't look very nice but so long as they park neatly and away from people I don't think there is an option. Most of them are probably day trippers from other parts of the island.

Looks like Waves have put more sunbeds out, must be getting busier.  Nice to see Kamini open when I looked on the Nafsika webcam last night.

Will people be allowed to use the pools? Perhaps Lesley would know.

Even more cars and people on the beach this afternoon but there's plenty of room for everyone. Wonder if any of the beach tavernas are open they could be making  a euro or two.

Nice to see on the webcam the local people taking advantage of the good weather there. Quite a few cars on the beach and little groups under their umbrellas but all acknowledging the social distancing rules. Must be quite a treat to have the beach to themselves.

What may be worrying them are the number of Italian visitors they get in the Summer. What are the choices, do they cancel their bookings or just carry on and hope for the best?
