Oh dear! You have a contrract with Thomson, and they have not offered seat reservation. The seats are presumably already reserved with another carrier (Jet2 in this case). (When Thomson pay for these is not relevant.) I am not an expert, but would suggest you keep hold of the mail saying you should contact Jet2, contact them, but get to the check in as early as you can. I guess that you will be dealing with Jet2 staff, or the airport check in staff. Either way, I bet they will be sympathetic to your request for adjacent seating!
Good luck!

You seem to have a raw deal here Gavlah. I have 20kg hold and 5kg hand baggage allowance, but it is a Thomson flight.I have to admit that this was all "up front" when I booked, so no complaint.

Well, on the same day that I read about your problems with seat booking, I get a call from Thomson advising me that I have not pre booked our flight seats, and we should consider doing so to "ensure we had adjacent seats"! We never do pre book, but have never been contacted about it before. They also asked if I had thought about how I was getting to the airport.
I suspect they are looking to increase revenue? We declined both offers.

It was "News and views" I was trying to post in, not "out and about"

Interesting! But I can not post in other areas eg out and about. Access forbidden! (And an error code)

Logged in but get error code when trying to post a new topic?

Prices certainly fluctuate. The booking I made for £445 is now £498. Same dates from Newcastle is £549. I have not compared Newcastle flights before, but suppose the extra is due to greater travel distance? Hence Gatwick tends to be cheaper?

Yes Jimbo, you also get a degree of cover for potential problems such as ash clouds etc. Romanza in June, daytime flights, 20kg plus 5 kg hand baggage, coach transfer £447 per person. This price has now increased. I am sure you can, if you want to, do it cheaper by shopping around. It is, as ever, each to his/her own.

I'm afraid I can't help, but I can sympathise because I constantly have problems with these. I will be interested to see if anyone has advice on interpreting them.

Georgie, you are right! My wife has also chastised me for getting upset about trivia. I shall make no further posts regarding this programme about an island in the Med.

237
But, if you are making a serious programme about Corfu, would you establish in which sea the island was?

238
Did I hear correctly, before I turned it off, that Corfu is 'an island in the Med'?

239
Well Jimbo, we are all entitled to our opinions and views, be they on a single episode or a complete series.

Watched the begining of the programme tonight. What on earth has some stroppy woman redesigning a villa got to do with the Corfu I know and enjoy? I prefer the place, it's apoartments /villas/etc as they are, and the wonderful food as it is. If you want to change it, please stay at home.
