Info on the state of the cliff path to Arillas would be welcome from any early visitors. Like many, we enjoy a stroll to and from Arillas and prefer to use the path coming back.

Good suggestion Gordon, maybe a local there can advise???
I heard that the footpath would be moved away from the "crumbling" edge of the cliff, as it was looking very fragile by end of season last year!
Has anything been done to shore it up??

Still passable with great care and further cliff falls last winter. The path now has a piece of yellow twine to stop anyone falling off the edge!!! Arillas sea front shows signs of further damage and rocks used at base of road.

I was hoping some kind of path re-structuring would have been done - sounds a bit dodgy!!
-
Ha! Maybe avrio.

There are a couple of photos on the arillas.com forum showing that the path is very narrow(and quite scary) at a couple of points. Dimitris, the administrator has also posted a photo showing an alternative route to reach the upper part of the path missing the dodgy bit. I'll be taking that option methinks!

Gordonc ............. Could you supply a link please.

If you wish to avoid it you can follow the route from the picture that follows:

Thanks Dimitris, a picture saves a thousand words!
Would there be any reason why walkers cannot tread in a new path, missing the edge of the cliff, by 20 metres or so, in a semi circle around the bad section??
I can see someone finding the ground crumbling under them one day.
Would the council help out by clearing a pathway at a safe distance away from the edge?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.
The alternative walk is fine so thanks for that as well!
