Title: Nondas Apartments
Post by: Wordsmith on September 22, 2008, 03:06:18 AM
Hi, just to let people know that may have stayed at Nondas before - there is now a pool there! And what is even better, it is a non chlorinated one so should cause no problems with white swimming costumes going green or swimmer's ear. If anyone would like to have a look, the website is www.nondas.co.uk.

This year was the first time we have had anything going green from the pool at the apartments we stayed at. I used to get out the pool and even my feet were green.lol!!! Still wouldn't stay anywhere else though. :o

Where abouts is nondos

It's tucked away behind and below the Tsaros Pool Bar about halfway up the hill opposite Summer Dreams - which means I've only seen the back of it from above.  Definitely no bus stop.

We stayed at Nondas a few times in the early days, nice villas & Apt's, good food in the elphita bistro restaurant,
a big welcome from Dimitri or Nondas. The hill is a bit of a killer, but worth the effort to check it out.

Tony not sure who he sold them to, we used to stay in one of them, if my memory serves me some of the workers in San Stef were staying in them.

Bring back those heady days of the MAGNET BAR, (pre-simple), when thousands of people (er-well 2 or 3) crowed the huge dance floor, the only ''foam'' club (possibly spittle), in Corfu!!
Sorry Stef, couldn't resist it - at least you tried!!

Ok - anywhere else that still remains closed? We know about the old San Stef Travel office opp. Dino's Car Hire,
No real point in having to run the two, so close together, but anything else?

An acqaintance just back from a fortnight at Nondas, tells that all is not right there. Himself is still under par, and Dimitri seems disinterested in Elpitha, and the other brother similar. The two beds have all been sold off to an English property developer, leaving just  the 1 beds. Hmmmm.

Ah! Makes sense now! A couple of weeks ago I got a reply from the 'previous' agent for Nondas telling me she wasn't looking after Nondas for 2010, and then i couldn't find a link to book.

Still, irrelevant for us now for 2010 as booked with Fedra Mare

You can still book the Nondas through Sally - new website is www.nondas.webs.com - there is all the details on there for you to contact Sally.  Nondas was taken bck to hospital just after we left in September - for a pacemaker fitting.  Has far as we know - Nondas/Sally were planning on making a few changes for next year - regarding the Bistro etc. - they really wanted the guests to be happy.  They are such nice people.
(I agree though that the son's were not interested)
Hopefully things will work out for them.

Can someone tell us , honestly of course, what Nonda's is like? The web site looks OK but if I did a personal website would it be the truth?

Don - we stayed with Nondas twice,
I was a bit fitter in those days, as it is only the hill that puts me off now.
Nice roomy Apartments and he now has a pool as well.
The bar restaurant is v/good, and a reasonable view as well!!

Does anyone know a shortcut (on foot) to Nondas? I have heard someone say you can go through Maria's and use a couple of blocks to climb over a wall and bingo Nondas!!
Anymore info gratefully received.

I think I saw the shortcut through Theodosia garden, but it's a bit of a job getting over the wall and still up a steep bit!!
