Fantasea opened properly for the season on Monday. Kostas had been open doing coffees up to then but not meals. Enjoyed the mussels in ouza as always. I do wish people would venture into the old part of the villa g e more. They just don't know what they are missing at this end.
-
Definitely going to be eating in Fantasea this year and many others. Last 2 visits have been half board at Thomas Bay so had a couple of meals out but this visit s/c and cant wait.
-
Will be there in two weeks time, beautiful views and the food outstanding. Our son and girlfriend staying at Fedra Mare, and their first visit to San Stefanos, they are going to be gobsmacked at the food on offer in the village, and at the very reasonable prices.See you soon Kostas ;D.
-
One of the places I'm most looking forward to returning to.
-
Love the Old part of the village people don't know what their missing

I agree Dibully we have always stayed around this side and although I do like to venture to the newer end every now and again, the old part is where I feel most like home. I must confess though I haven't eaten in the Hotel that is now Fantasea since Minas and his family had it many moons ago but after seeing all the comments made on here I think I will have to make time for it this year ;D
-
Googleberry you really will have to pop into Fantasea , Kostas has made a big difference to it . The food is gorgeous and mine host is on great form !
-
We always eat in the older part of the village and saved our last night's meal for Fantasea having previously enjoyed both the food and meeting Kostas.
We were really disappointed to find the place almost deserted with no one around to welcome us, one couple in the restaurant and a large TV screen showing the darts.
Whilst I have nothing against darts players per se, we did not want to spend our precious last night here so decamped to a very breezy Waves!
I hope it's not like this in August too.

Our very first holiday 31 years ago, we stayed in the Limani Apartments behind the church - overlooking the old harbour.
In fact we stayed there several times. Since than we have stayed all over the village - - but this year - in 2 days time we are going back to the Limani Apartments again.
In those days the restaurant was called Golden Beach - now it's called Fantasea - - we were there when Kostas was born - we were there for his Christening...
Kostas now manages it for his dad Nikos and we can't wait to see them again - great place to stay - brilliant views....
-
We have just returned from SS , it was our first visit and we loved it, we dined at Fantasea and kept returning as the setting was beautiful , we were really well looked after and. the food was delicious . I hope Kostas does well this season , we prefer the old part of the village and we will be back next year :D
-
We were there last week.......again :).Top top service, had kleftico there for the first time and it was the best I have ever had.Red and green peppers, red onion, feta cheese and roast potatoes, with the most beautifully cooked lamb ever,it just fell off the bone. Will be paying more visits to see Kosta and staff in September, you better believe it.
-
I'm sat here now...... Love it. Kostas and the beautiful Iwonna
-
I'll be sat there with you tomorrow
-
I ate there for dinner once and had coffees and dessert up there twice.
Lamb chops were beautiful and their homemade pannacotta is excellent.
Kostas and his sister are absolutely lovely and can't do enough to please
-
Just home,we ate at Fantasea 3 nights and endured 2 nights of desert and metaxa.couldnt fault it at all.as always costas does his upmost to ensure you have a great night...

I don't seem to have as much time as before but this year earlier was a disaster for me with all my family problems and illnesses - -
I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel - - - so doing a bit more now
-
Folks, just read on TA,that Kostas is not serving meals this year, surely this cannot be true, anyone on here know if thats the case. ???
-
Lucky us - staying at the Fedra Mare this year - not far to go to experience all this!
-
Yes your right its not true he is serving meals we went to see him when we was there in may and he had the opening day serving meals on is name day the 21 and he as new chef
-
Thanks for the great news Carl,so love the food and staff there, one week to go and we will be there. 8)
-
Definitely still doing meals as he put his menu on Facebook recently
-
Can someone tell me exactly where Fantasea is
-
Fantasea is the last restaurant on your left as you head towards the harbour..so past little prince, bare left where the road goes to the beach, past Nafsica and Manthos then the road rises a bit and on your left Fantasea..Kostas is a great host, the food is good and great views over the bay.
-
It's one of our, if not the, most favourite restaurant there!! The beef stifado is excellent!!!
-
Thank you. Will give it a try, it sounds lovely :)
-
Its one of our favourite restaurants the garlic and ouzo mussels for me is the best starter but the mrs likes the langoustines
-
Love the place. Great host, great food, great views.... All in a lovely peaceful setting
-
The Fantesea hadn't opened when we were there in May but had some lovely meals there last year. Even at the end of July though there were never more than three or four tables occupied. Think a lot of visitors are unaware of the number of quality restaurants in the older part of the village. I've seen lots of people walk as far as the junction near Summer Dream then turn round and go back up the hill.
-
Well dont tell everyone about fantasea then kostas might give me more mussles and ouzo ;D
-
Arrive on Monday, first port of call for our dinner.Great host, lovely food, and a view to die for. :)
-
We dont arrive till september the 18th but enjoyed seeing kostos when we were there in may so dont eat all the good food
-
Great food and also a great host in Kostas. Sunset views are lovely especially with the church nearby as well
-
Ate here 3 times during our recent 10 day stay, each and every meal was fabulous.Kostas has a new member of staff, a lad called Saleed,he is funny, corteous and very good at describing each item on the menu. Will be back for sure, on our next visit in August.
-
Just back from a week in San Stef we ate at Fantasea twice, both times food was fabulous can't praise it enough. We had fresh fish it was delicious
-
I had the fish too Carolg, sea bream,it was lovely, and filleted by Kostas.Wife had chicken a la creme, best she has ever tasted, and two glasses of wine,be warned, its very strong stuff, she went into a laughing fit,was a great night in good company.
-
