If you don't want the 'specials' then be prepared to budget €20 to €30 for a couple at dinner including a bucket of house wine(kokkino or somesuch). My wife and I manage quite nicely on £500 to £600 of euros for a fortnight.

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Re: Whats your favourite starter?

Tony, the best time to eat there is at night, when son Leon is on duty. Daytimes the quality can be haphazard at times. You will get no get the fasolada on the menu, if you ask for it they usually make it for the next day ( same as the sousokakia-bad spelling). For what it is worth say that Brian and Pearl suggested you went there!! The other son Vassilis is a tad strange but harmless.

Fasolada.
So you enjoy a Greek soup of dry white beans, olive oil, and vegetables!!

Yes TC, but the fasolada that Kiki in the Armourada at Arillas makes is one of the modern wonders of the world, the taste is out of this world, and eaten with her real garlic bread with olive oil and paprika sprinkled on it.......
Advisory- just do not eat it the night before flying!!

I object to paying out £2.50 for the crap that masquerades as earphones on the planes. I have a set of phones that would work if I could get one of the two plug adaptors that Thomson uses ( instead of the usual one plug), does anyone know where you can definitely get one of these??

Sorry my bad, it isn't roped off entirely, but the ropes channel you to the bar, so presumably you can go out to the beach as well. My mate who has just come back tells me all this.

Further to my report about the Athina, I now hear it is €5 EACH. The beach entrance is roped off and you get sent to the bar where you pay up and get tickets in exchange that you then hand over if making a purchase.

The rain is warm, so strip down to shorts, and as Don says go for a walk- or a swim. If walking do watch your step, as the road covering if stony can be slippery. Find your favourite bar and get........

Pretty much as you say, except next to the 'river' that runs into the sea, is a male Greek who was not there in 2008. Price the same, Costas will do beds for €5 if you do not want brolly. I don't think I have ever seen so many beds on the beach as this year, they are everywhere.

Reps have been a waste of space for years. I refuse to go to their 'big sell' meetings, and have not attended one for several years. The one this year at Tsaros did not even have a talk, merely went round the pool trying to sell the over priced trips(I was there watching the F1 before anyone asks!! :D)
