Title: New for 2012
Post by: sharris on March 07, 2012, 07:12:44 PM
while over there for carnival, i heard there is to be a new restaurant in the village. the site is the old bar 38 place, its going to be a chinese.

i know this causes a big divide with some people saying you go to greece to eat greek food, yes i agree and i love the greek food, however we all enjoy a chinese at home now and then so whats the difference when there, personally i think it will be nice to have another option. And its good that the building not staying empty, and someone is having a go at something different, so i for one will be trying it out.

Anything that helps to keep the village alive is a good idea in my opinion. I probably wont use it because I do love the greek food wherever I eat there, but as you say Sarah it gives people another option and it's always sad to see an empty building. Do we have any idea about who is actually going to run it ?

What what you call it?

There must be a great Greek/Chinese combo we could come up with?

At the risk of offending a good friend, she knows I publish an album in her name, I feel the dyslexic signwriter would call in Gok Wan........................ Could be the start of a worldwide chain!

We will be visiting San Steph while in Corfu for the weekend on 30th March so will have a look at the new Chinese.

Like others have said its good to see the old Bar 38 will now be in use, nothing worse than empty units on the main street!

Wok are you talking about Gav??
No - - nothing to do with me or my alleged Triad buddies  - LOL!
I think it could be called Man-th-churian Taverna and have China Nights once a week, (oriental plate smashing).
or even Oriental Oils with Shanghi Sandra singing! - - - maybe Táoyuán Pisa - - - -
How about the Beijing Prince serving sizzling Chop Suey, run by Manderin Don, or Jǐnán Jims Chongqing Emporium
- - no it'll be Gavlah's Crispy Di-u-ck, (silent U) I recon'  - - - Chinese Curry 'n' chips!! - bringing sophisticated ''Grub'' to town!
