There is a charity event at the Corfu Beer brewery in Arillas this evening for anyone lucky enough to be staying in San Stefanos at the moment. There will be local merchants selling their produce along with music and refreshments with proceeds going to the childrens hospice in Magoulades. Slightly late notice I know but better late than never for such a good cause. The event starts at 9pm this eveing.

Oh! Cerys - why did you publish that - now I am in agony as I bang my head against the wall in England - no Corfu beer around - actually no beer!! LOL
-
Great night. Good dancing, music, souvlaki, donuts - Corfu beer EUR2 a pint!
About 2,500 people there. Good news for the orphanage!

What a shame to miss that - will they hold another event??

I shot some video. Will put it on YouTube when I get back.

I did steal some time and went over to shoot a couple of pictures.

It brings back memories of a great night we had in San Stefanos on the 19th June at the village festival.
10 of us came down from the Romanza in Leos pickup.Ladies in the front, men in the back.We had a great time feasting on lamb on the spit, served in a white paper parcel.Eaten with your fingers and washed down with bottles of retsina. The music was provided by a group from Corfu Town who played nonstop for the 4 hours we were there. They were excellent and played a mixture of music that ranged right across the spectrum from traditional Greek to rock & roll. After a night of non stop eating, drinking and dancing I think we returned to the Romanza by pickup.I say think because after a night on retsina the final chapter is slightly hazy.
