Title: San Steff First Timers!!!!!!
Post by: Bont Boyo on July 02, 2012, 08:52:04 PM
Hi all, first timers to San Steff this year travelling out on 20 August. We stayed in Arillas last year and made the journey up to the Akrotiki bar on a few occasions which was fantastic.

This year we are a split party staying in Vicky's and Kapetanos. We like the beach all day and a beer late afternoon overlooking the sea (cant wait!!!) I do like to watch the football results coming through on a Saturday so does anyone know of a bar with Sky TV?

Greek nights, fish restaurants and Mythos beer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any info would be much appreciated
Thanks. :)

Hi there, I think you'll find that the Vicky bar has Sky TV. They also usually have a Greek night on a Thursday, if there are enough takers. Most restaurants do fish, but Duncan had Bream at the Nafsika, which was delicious, and filleted at the table. Mythos is widely available, thank goodness!
I'm sure you'll have a lovely time. We arrive to stay at the Vicky on the 27th, so if you're there for two weeks, we'll see you there.

Somewhere in between the 2 is Teresa for sky sports on tv and a lovely deck area outside to watch the sun go down over the nearby islands. In the village is Athens Bar and The Condor Bar which both cater for watching sport on tv but do not have the sea view.

Hi Bont Boyo welcome to the forum. As indicated you wont need to travel far anywhere in the resort to pick up sports and sky premiership games. These are usually pretty low key events and seldom the main attraction in any bar but a group of like-minded fans  can usually be expected for a bit of craik and a few mythos. I always hold my breath when we travel at the start of the season in case we miss a crunch game or two! We too travel on the 20th when the season will be up and running! Enjoy

My thoughts exactly Di, would have been good to put a name to a face.  How are you now, hopefully feeling better but I think perhaps not 100% remembering how ill you have been.  Hope you have a really good relaxing time next week.  Hopefully meet up another time  :)

Thanks Soulie as you guessed will not be fully fit and even though we paid for holiday only just got ok from Consultant to go no swimming in pool or sea so just a little paddle but looking forward to the perfect place to relax and chill we both need it as we lost my mother few weeks ago so holiday can't come soon enough sure our paths will cross eventually

dibully - we'll see you at Nafsika very soon.

Greece in the summer is a wonderful healing zone. There's nowhere better to wander along the water's edge and let the gentle ripples refresh your body and spirit.

Sorry Jimbo, and other Nafsika guests, there'll be no Theodoras cooking for you this time, she's in the USA with her husband George at present.
