Those of us who are lucky enough to be here will have seen the fire/smoke spotting plane in the air. Because of the lack of rain the authorities are very worried in case of fire.
The scuttlebutt is that heavy fines are being imposed on people who are burning anything. Smoke seen from the air is a great giveaway.

Good morning on this lovely day in Ag Stef.
Sadly there is bad news in that a 15 year old Bulgarian girl drowned here yesterday. I am not aware of any details.
My heart goes out to the girl's parents and family.

You are isolated in hospltal in Corfu if you test positive for the virus. They attempt to track down the people you have been in contact with and mentioned fellow passengers. Bill

Hi Karen,
They have a testing regime at the airport (which is quiet of course) and they select the candidates for testing as you clear passport control. You need to show them the printed form and from that they select the subject. Very easy and you know by email within a day if you are positive.

We arrived safely on 18th July. The town is much quieter than normal but lot's of nice restaurants are open at the harbour end of the town. The Nafsika was buzzing with activity but we think that was for a private celebration last night. The Mistral sun bed area is being expanded so he is hopeful. If you do come have a great time. The weather is as fantastic as usual.

Thank you for your response Jimbo. We should really change the subject heading to "Celebrities" based on your joint popularity on this forum and your individual CV.
Yes I agree with you (especially with the nasty weather we are witnessing at the moment) that it would be lovely to sit at the Mistral and soak up the lovely sun and sip some lovely Mythos very slowly.
One of the occasions I saw you both was when we were body surfing on a lively day in AS trying to recapture our lost youth!!! That was in July this year.

Thank you all for the information. They are a lovely couple and I do hope they visit AS next year.

Kalimera,
I'm new to your forum and this is my first post.
During another fantastic family holiday in Agios Stefanos this year (July/August), I met a lovely couple who had been visiting AS for many years (staying in the Nafsika etc. over the years). They would lounge most days on the beds in front of the Mistral and have lunch there. They are from Hull and one of the most remarkable things about them is that the husband looks very like Jeremy Corbyn!!!
By any chance do any of the readers know their name(s)? I would love to know if I'll be lucky enough to see them in 2020.
Ef Kharisto Poli.
