It was / is owned by the very lovely Stefanos who was the breakfast / lunch waiter at Nafsika.
He still owns it and this year he and his brother are running a pool maintenance business from those premises.

Never exchange cash in the village. We always take our Euros with us - buy them on line and use our Nationwide flex plus debit card to withdraw extra if needed - no charges. Plus ALWAYS ALWAYS decline the ATM offer to convert. The exchange rate is already bad don't give up anymore of your hard earned cash.

Our favorite is the Nafsika - why isn't this on the 'Where to Eat' list ?

I was told last year that it was Athena's decision to leave Thomson (Tui), Thomson didn't drop Athena.

3 weeks for us this year, so we're planning a couple of days away from the village. We've been going to Agios Stefanos for more than 30 years and we have seen lots of the island but I'm embarrassed to say and although the following are in the north of the island and not that far away from the village we've never been there - this year we will.

1) Mount Pantokrator
2) Old Perithia
3) The 3 Durrell Houses
4) The other Agios Stefanos

Any places you've always said you'd go to and this year are determined to actually visit?

Thomas Cook from Birmingham, 6:30am flight out, 12:30pm flight back.

3 Weeks, 3 Adults - includes 20kg bags, Reserved Seats and free food. £858 (£286 each)

Also they are Thursday flights so we won’t have the usual nightmare Airport experiences of Fridays or Mondays.

* There is no best time or place to get Euros at the moment. You'll be lucky to get 1.22
* First meal: pie and chips at Doncaster Airport
* There are no hills at Doncaster Airport
* There are cash-points and WiFi at Doncaster Airport

* Did you know that Thomson have to take on extra fuel at Doncaster airport because the cabin crew are all strapping-great Yorkshire lasses?

Happy now?

Much

After this thread I'm (almost) missing threads like:

Best time / place to get my Euro's
First Meal
Is there a Cashpoint
The Hill(s)
Wi-Fi

A shower up on the headland would be perfect, I have a quick 'wipe down' in the nice toilets in Akrotiri !

Where to stay / "Won't stay there again"
« on: October 27, 2015, 02:32:58 PM »
So after 30 plus years of going to Agios Steffanos we've stayed at loads of different places. I think I've only stayed at 2 or 3 places where I wouldn't stay there again.

Not going to name them but one year we stayed just past 3W, before the turn off to the industrial laundry - well before the Peris. Bedroom was facing the road I was kept awake all night by traffic going to the laundry. Had to go to the nafsika pool to sleep once the sun was up!

We all love the place but yes you have to be a bit careful when it comes to lodgings.
