........when are you going, where, how long ?. We are hoping to get back this summer, wee health issue, but fingers crossed we can visit our favourite Greek village at some point.

Wind has gone and now normal July temperatures although still need a wrap or sleeves in the evening!!
Beach gathering seaweed quickly again.
Talk around everywhere that there is going to be a marina to attract the yaughting brigade. Lots of new apartments being built/renovating so might be looking to the future.

Been sand blasted I guess, looks pretty windy today...

Been very windy for 3 days now and apparently windy again tomorrow. Mistral wind which comes from the north west and is cool.
Not had air con on since we have been here.
Beach has been cleared so looking much better.
Busy with large groups of families from Uk, Italy and Romania. Lots of day trippers too.
The waves restaurant  have put up a chain now so that the cars don’t impose on their patch.
Prices up in food and drink so anyone coming bring extra money.

Where to eat out in San Stefanos? / Re: Olympia Restaurant.

Oh, so is that limited tables with usual menu? Or limited everything? We dont mind booking in advance if that s the case.

Limited tables but same menu. They just need to know exactly what they are cooking for.

So sad to hear about the Olympia most definitely our number one restaurant.

We are here now and the Olympia does still do food but you have to book in advance as limited availability.

Is a nice restaurant but there are so many other nice restaurants in SS I don’t think it will be missed too much. Is probably one of the more expensive ones.
Will make that side of the village a bit quieter though which is not good for neighbouring shops/bars etc

Would be lovely to play in those waves rather than sitting at my desk eating my lunch.
;

Only 33 more sleeps for us before we get to play in the waves, lovely 😊

The book is set in SS. Sorry if it offends you.

I know I’ve read it.

If you're seriously bored on Saturday morning you can hear me on BBC Radio Humberside at 11:15 talking about Almond. Wow! If you don't live in Yorkshire and are desperate you can find it on Sounds on the BBC website.

Sales are ticking over steadily. Still only two reviews, but 4.5/5 on the stars, so thanks if you did that.

Thought this was a forum for SS!!! Not a promotion for books etc !!!

So it looks like the 1st Jet2 flight out of Edinburgh took off early this morning, although it may have stopped off at Newcastle to pick up further passengers.

With that good news along with my Vaccination certificate arriving yesterday, it looks like we will be on our way from the 2nd September at the 4th time of trying

Here's hoping there will be no further setbacks between now and then!

Well that’s good news they are flying from Edinburgh again as we ended up going with Ryanair from Edinburgh as both Jet2 and TUI cancelled us from Edinburgh in august. Was worth it though we had a great time as usual, only just back.

Good to know, but can I be nosey and ask what tests etc you have to take, or certificates you have to provide in order to fly out from and return to Scotland? I'm double-jabbed but holding back from booking a Jet 2 flight mid September until things become clearer. Fine chance of that happening soon!

Hi please read my current thread on this !  Tried to find out today before our flights were cancelled on tests etc!!  Went to two different  pharmacies and neither of them knew what to do, both referred me to Scottish government website which tells you nothing !!! Ridiculous. We travelled last September to SS in the middle of all this with no problems and yet this year the Scottish government are making it impossible.

Glad I changed my booking from TUI to Jet2 for august flying from Edinburgh as so far so good for 5th august 🤞🤞

Well that was short lived. Yes it’s 2.10am Scottish time and I can’t sleep as Jet2 just cancelled flights from Edinburgh/Scotland for 5th August!!!!!! Why they allowed us to check in and encourage buying tests is beyond belief. !!! Will be contacting them tomorrow for some sort of explanation.
