Title: Nice and quiet?
Post by: sidneylarkin on May 01, 2012, 10:20:13 PM
Hi all.

Looking for somewhere nice and quiet in San Stef for later on in the year. The wife and I don't like it too busy and noisy, just a few tavernas with a bit of night life. Any suggestions?

We're off to Kalami soon. My wife downloaded a book off Amazon called Kalami, Where the Sea Shrugs its Shoulders. The description of the place sounds beautiful and just whet we want, so we booked to go there. If you want some holiday reading then I can really recommend the book. It's funny and full of odd people and events. Glad we bought it.

Thanks in anticipation.

I think the old part of Ag Stef is more restful, so places like Fedra Mare, Vassilys, Dimitra, Fantasea (Golden Beach), Nafsika, etc

I'd probably, agree with both, but Debra is right, the old Ag. Stef is really chilled out, nightlife a short walk away, peaceful in the meantime.
Contact Kostas in the San Stefanos Hotel, (Golden Beach - Fanntasea Restaurant), nice Apts, as are the Fedre Mare etc. all a great place to stay. If you need links, just ask.
Tony

The whole of san stefano is a fairly laid back approach to life. The bars tend to be the same they dont blare music out all evening but have odd bursts of entertainment so you can do a bit of greek dancing. If I remember I asked Dimitri at the little prince and he said they are not allowed to make any noise after midnight or they would get in trouble. It is unlike sidari which has music and discos all night until the early hours of the following day.San stefanos is definitely for the ones who like it quieter.Like me.Its a wonderful place to go and you certainly wont be disappointed.Enjoy.

Even at its loudest AS is by most standards very quiet. It's lively in a different way. Good conversation in bars etc.

The throbbing centre doesn't twitch much after midnight. Bliss.

Normally after 00:30 - the loudest thing in the village is Jimbo snoring for England - seems he won the gold medal for it,
and Don once told me that Sandra was the runner up!!
(that's it - I'm in trouble again!)
