We want to book next years holiday soon. We are looking at either the Thomas Bay or the Nafiska. Any advice would be appreciated.
-
love the thomas bay rooms great always lots of hot water food fine would say take a kettle for a hot drink
-
Never stayed at the Nafsika but have stayed at the Thomas Bay many times.
Thomas Bay had their rooms refurbished a couple of years ago along with the bar area and a new dining room. The Pool area is spacious with a good sized pool set a pleasant garden area. The food is really good and the helpings were to us quite sufficient. The staff are really and truly the best! You won't look at them as staff for long as they will soon become friends. They are situated in the heart of the village and a comfortable 5 to 10 minute stroll from the beach.
The Nafsika is a 2 minute amble to the beach and in the older quieter part of the resort. Not that anywhere is too noisy. It has a good dining area set outside under awnings and the times that we have eaten there the food was really good. Not eaten there this year but we do like to call in for a drink as we know some of their staff. It has its own pool set at the side of the hotel. It is not as big as the Thomas Bay's but always looks clean.
Hate to say it but the choice is yours!

We stayed at the Nafsika - but some years ago now.
Not much in it I would say!! You get very well looked after there, but we also like the Thomas Bay, stayed there many times.

Yes...start at the travel agents? ::) ;D
-
Thanks for the replies. The Nafiska on line only gives Birmingham option and we need to fly from Norwich.
I will have to go into the travel agents and ask.
Thanks again!
Sarah

You could try Nafsika as an accommodation only booking and book flights only! It's an option we,ve taken and saved money.
-
Absolutely, you don't always need a travel agent, and can make big savings,
it usually depends on the price of the flights for a start!
Why do you want these two Hotels in particular, is it because of half-board option?

Hey Anarchic humour , well so very "Carry On!" Hardly the cutting edge we'd all expect!
-
The softer side is coming out! or maybe not!
-
Have always been either SC or B&B so we thought we would go half board for a change. Have walked past these hotels many times and liked the look of them both.
We have booked the Thomas Bay.
-
How excited you must be feeling, fantastic and bet you can't wait?
Never stayed in the Thomas Bay but know the the peopls there who are exceptionally brill. Many of our Divers from the U.K have stayed there many times and have always had great views about the place. We like the look of the place too and the atmosphere.
Wish you an absolutely great hols.!!!
-
Good Choice Sarah!! Great Staff and atmosphere!!

Thanks Tony - i cant wait!! :)
-
you will have a great time
-
Thanks Bubblehead & Kipper and Zoe.
-
We used to stop at Thomas Bay for years but prefer self catering. We still use their bar most nights for the great family atmosphere. You have made a great choice.
-
Thats good to hear Don, we have stayed at Teresas B&B before. There wasn't a much diference in price for either of them so thought we would go for HB this time. We will still be eating out some nights, its just nice to have the choice.
-
If you don't like the menu any night in the T/Bay, just speak to Nikos and he will offer anything on the menu as an alternative choice, they really go the whole way to please you!!
You will love it there!
-
Thats good to know - thanks Tony.
-
Let us know if you enjoyed your stay there, we love the place these days - great staff!
-
Hate BINGO but try it there!!!! Especially good if Sandra is there as Nikos really takes the rip out of her!!!
-
Not keen on Bingo either but tried it several years ago at the Alkion in Sidari - had a right laugh! Sorry but who is Sandra?

A holiday would be a start! ???
You just had one !! And don't deny it cos i saw you ;)
-
The closest I got to the Thomas Bay was to use the Cash Machine, I was put off going into the place because they advertised Bingo or Karaoke, I'd go to Butlins or Blackpool if I wanted that (no offence to Butlins or Blackpool btw) so I didn't get to try the Bar, my loss I suppose :( our Fave was Zorba's for 3 reasons....(1) Great Food with good portions, when you have a 17 year old in tow, small portions are no good! (2) a small play area to keep our 4 year old happy :D (3) The dancing waiters, although I have seen the likes before, my boys have not (or can't remember, but they HAVE seen it before) and they loved it! especially the guy trying to eat the flaming table! my youngest thought that was brill :)
-
Small POTIONS is one of your boys a Weasley or Potter? If Grainger ok with me !! It wouldn't be Bingo or Karaoke as you know it. Teens would and do love it !! :o
-
I must agree with Don - try the bar one night, it's good - go after the Bingo - I hate Bingo as well!!
Other nights are quite good, nothing like an english pub bar or anything in blackpool!!
-
Not really my cup of tea either karaoke and bingo, we will be going to other bars and probably have a night cap at the hotel before bed - that is if they are still open when we stagger in!! ;)
-

Beware Don, they have the ability to cast spells ;) Isn't Grainger a little young for you Don Weasley? :P :P

Colin - it's not that - it's when the girls ride a broomstick that I worry!! LOL

The mount and dismount could be bad for us boys as well LOL
-

-

-
I won't "dampen" your thoughts by answering that one!!
However - do you think she will wear a "Jules-string" on the beach - - -?? LOL
-
Thongs ... Talking about thongs, like a walk in the park............... Bobby Darin LOL
-
(thongs) Like a kiss in the dark - - (thongs) Like a sailboat ride (yeah yeah)
What about the night we cried - - Thongs like a lover's vow - - Thongs that we don't do now
Thinkin' 'bout the thongs we used to do !!
Memories!! Thongs - oh! well - back to the string!! LOL
-
I think Tony and Don definitely need help right now lol!!!! ;)
