I talked nicely to a colleague at work and we have swapped our weeks so we are coming 21st September for 11 days-Sorry-that means we will probably be the last men standing in the hotel! I'm so excited, lets hope Covid19 doesn't cock this holiday up for us.
Wow how cool is that. If only................................maybe if things continue to improve we'll get away as well.

Hi everyone. I'm bored so I just spent some time looking at past comments I posted on the various topics over the years and I wondered how many members are still around from when I joined. It was 28th June 2008.
I still see many posts from people who were around back then but some of the regular contributors 12 years ago seem to have been less prolific in their postings in recent times. Hopefully their still around but use twitface (or whatever its called) instead.

We had a gyros last week with homemade tsatsiki, my favourite and only contribution to the meal. Gorgeous.

I've been looking at the euro exchange rate on TravelFX our preferred provider and found that their offering only 1.0845 against the current exchange rate of 1.14291. Now I know that the rate of exchange for joe public is always less than the actual rate but thats a huge difference. Am I missing something here?

If social distancing lasts until the end of the year we won't have much of an economy left and that in itself will cost lives. There's a balance to be met here and it seems to me that no one has got it right yet.

We/they have no option but to come out the otherside. What's the alternative? Of course some businesses will suffer but that goes for the whole world. People have to make a living and when you've got a fantastic, beautiful country like Greece people will always go there.

Still it is reporting 15c on the forecase just now and 10c here with a realfeel of 8c. Just wondered where folks would rather be, for me it would be here as it's sunny...
Working and sitting in our garden is beginning to lose its appeal but being somewhere else ain't going to happen anytime soon so we just have to suck it up.
