Title: Hello to everyone (first post)
Post by: Alan1962 on May 19, 2012, 04:33:50 PM
Myself wife and 2 daughters will be staying in San Stef (Theresas) for the first 2 weeks in August.
We stayed in Kalami for the previous 2 years.
Loved the place, just felt like a change, hope we have made the right decision.

Hi Alan you will love it there. You've chosen a great hotel. Really friendly family run hotel. We went there for the first time last year and booked again as soon as we got home. We'll miss you this year, as we go on the 31st August to Tereza's.

Teresa is a great choice for your SS stay. We will have stayed there for the last 12 years when we take our usual holiday end of August. Great family welcome and the pool is just gorgeous to laze around . The views are to die for with great sunsets over the nearby islands as well. The weekly barbecue is lovely with the family and friends dancing for your entertainment.
If you need to know anything at all specific for Teresa someone on here will always have an answer for you.

Thanks for that Jules,
I have read the rooms have Air Con at Terarsa's but you have to pay,
how much do they charge for 2 weeks (we have 2 rooms)

Thanks for that info,
For the 2 rooms for 2 weeks 140 Euros maybe a bit steep, do they hire fans out?

They do not have fans but you may be able to hire them in the village. The air con is usually €35 per week per room as each unit has a seperate remote control. We have always had the air con but we only have the one room and are most grateful for it when temperatures reach over 30 degrees.

Hi Alan,
I know that lots of people like air con but I have been to Ag Stef for last 12 years in July and August and never used it at all. We used to take a fan with us. If you are going with daughters you may have room in a suitcase to do this too. There are places in the village where you can hire fans. Noula at San Stef travel usually has some and the car hire place in the middle of the village by Bar 38 also used to hire them too. In recent years I have simply left windows open all night..... but have covered the windows with netting from Kleeneze. They come with a sticky velcro strip thing. Many rooms also have pull down Mozzie nets. I have never stayed at Terezas so don't know if they have them there. Maybe the girls could have a fan and you use the nets?? I think that an extra 35 euros a week is better spent on a few glasses of dry white..... I would like to say I am thinking only of my carbon footprint but would be fibbing!

Alan, I am pretty sure they do some sort of deal for two rooms, so it wouldn't cost 140 euros
