Title: What makes it special and personal? A must do?
Post by: Sandra W on February 03, 2010, 02:19:06 AM
Wnenever I eat in the Olympia I am allowed to make up my own meal from the starters section of the menu. What is so special about one taverna that makes you keep going back there?

Well we love the Beachcomber for similar reasons, as Nikki the chef will do off the Menu meals if you ask,
or change to suit.
Plus Sue makes you feel like a personal frien eating at her house - but you still get a bill of course!! LOL

If it is unfortunate that you have had rain .You eat out at your favourite restaurant, just finished youre last drink and here comes the thunder lightning and rain.Your'e favourite waiter or owner offers to take you home. This just shows how kind everyone is.(not that we mind walking home!!) :)

You are so right - and there are so many local people there who do this kind of thing, over the years we have been so well looked after,
that is why the resort is so special.
I fondly remember the days when - on asking for the bill - I was told "Oh I can't be bothered - pay tomorrow",
such trusting and lovely people - and although it's now grown into a busier resort, the underlying good nature still shines through!

The hugs and kisses on arrival in resort are lovely and also that they always remember you even if you do not use there bar or taverna

Tony have you changed your holiday arrival day? My ticker shows I am there a week before you and not just 3 days.

We leave at around 21:50 on 30th Aug, arrive 03:00 Corfu,  so around 04:30 - 05:00 in S S. on 31st Tues AM.
We don't like night flights, but this time the price was really good.
Up missing Breakfast I would think, about 10:30 - 11:00 then to the pool or beach after a 2 stars breakfast/lunch.
People Watch and a snooze.
May even stay at the T/Bay Pool. Hopefully not too tired to walk to Glens - if not then stay in the T/Bay & definitely to Glens on
the next day 01st Sept'10 for a night cap.
But - flexible - so if you have any idea's - let us know what your plans are - I wouldn't mind arranging another evening at Ozzie Oils,
so must try to work out the best night and find out if any other Forum ,members are about.
What do you think would be good?
